I love this so much!

First off, I love Theo’s sass here. I can totally relate to the whole, trying-to-act-cool but you just can’t keep from laughing. I tried to play a practical on my husband during the quarantine, and I was just like Theo is here. Could not keep a straight face. So his emotional state just felt really genuine and made me smile.

And the emotions, man! All of the complicated feeling Theo is having are so well-done. I love his butterflies, his jealousy, his frustration with the situation and with himself.

I also love how the situation almost turns into a fake-dating scenario, with Theo not really being sure if Blaise asked him to the dance to get out of going with Daphne, or for ‘other reasons.’ I love all the tension it brings to the story. Also I’m just a sucker for fake dating and you pulled this off in such a natural way, it’s just fantastic.

And the kiss at the end… awwww it was so sweet! All of the build-up really paid off; it was fantastic.
Just a really great story overall; it read so smooth, and the tension was so present throughout, it made me so anxious to keep reading and see how it all turned out.
