Its been a while since i read this series but wasn't the weapon Raven got for her dust knives? Dust knives and a Dust sword, that sounds cool as hell. Also just a guess but i think if yang does want to wear her mothers helmet, Qrow will make her adjust the design or something. Anyways thank you for the chapter and ill see you next update. Qrows reactions to finding out about Yang had me on the floor laughing.

Omg so exciting. Ironwood saw Yang and Mercury is a friend. As for ships I don't believe you need to worry about that at the moment it's not super important and you can develop characters without needing to account for relationships. Besides even this Yang can get the cat anyway. Chemistry is a science

I hope Mercury doesn't backstab her as she is actually giving him some kindness in her own way. Im hoping for a future ship with them.

Is there going to be any Yang x Mercury in the future?

Oh man that doll scene gives me plot thickens vibes. Clearly Mercury fails at taking Yang since this is her story but it makes me wonder how the attempt will effect their future relationship (professional, friendly or otherwise.) I guess I'll have to wait and see.
So excited for the assassination with so many outcomes it's hard to guess.

So, a question I don't believe has been answered is why Rook isn't suspicious of Yang's weapon. Yang mentions that it's recognizable and is well-known, but Rook never comments on it. Is it just that at this point in time it's more associated with the deadly fire assassin, or does Rook just assume that it was salvaged from the remains of the Branwen camp?

I suggest you do actually make Mercury good at *something(s)*. Because now it feels like Mercury exists only to prop up Yang and say how much better she is in comparison to him, and especially in this chapter, how much ~~worse~~ she's apparently had it during the course of her life. None of the embarrassing moments Mercury suffers are particularly conducive to his character, and only serve to make him look pathetic in contrast to Yang.

Mercury was always a little fucked up but of course it's obvious why given his horrid life before meeting Cinder heck he lost his legs because of his father then killed him after by the looks of things snapping from all the shit he was given by him. Also by the looks of things he was also isolated from other people with the only one he knows being his father which is a classic abuser tactic. Yeah Marcus had it coming.
