...but to be honest, this is one of those stories that I care enough about to read when I see a chapter pop up, but not enough to neither follow nor review. Which means you are doing a lot of things right (otherwise I would have stopped reading a long time ago), but ultimately do very little to actually invest me into the story. In many ways the story is forgettable - it does not stand out in any way.

Well, what can you do about that?
Fleshing out the characters will definately help. Flesh out Ash's team, not just in numbers but make me remember their characters. Training chapters, while they can be boring, are helpful for this as they give room for both character development and give us a grasp of what the team can (and can not) do, and just as importantly, what their goals are.

Giving us (the readers) memorable battles is something that will help a lot too.

I hate cliffhangers lol
