I really loved this story. I enjoy seeing a more vulnerable Ceasar who "runs on autopilot" so he won't have to confront his grief or trauma. I've seen a lot of characterizations of him where they paint him as a calculating scientist who thinks emotion is irrational... but that interpretation is so wild when we've seen how he is with Rex and his family. I love your characterization of him so much, and this story made me want to honestly cry.
