Have I said how much I freaking LOVE this?! You write them both so well. I was in hysterics picturing big strong Mamoru struggle with heavy lifting while the girls navigated it with ease. LOL
On the flip side, I have always appreciated a vulnerable Mamoru as well. You really do give that take justice.

So obviously you’ve already heard many of my thoughts, but I wanted to give them to you in an (admittedly late) review, too.

I know you struggled with this story for a bit, and let me just tell you it really doesn’t show! I love the consistent theme of Mamoru having to remind himself that Usagi is his fake girlfriend. And how tortured he is by his newfound realization of being in love with her.

I love how much cultural research and execution you put into this. I didn’t know very much about this festival, so I feel like I learned some cool facts from you while reading, and doing that through Usagi and Mamoru is always a good time. You also painted the scene so beautifullythe marching, Mamoru’s physical pain, the crowds. I really felt like I could see it. Also, I LOVE how impressed he was by Usagi’s strength.

I also love how Mamoru has been so engrossed in Usagi that he hasn’t noticed Natsumi in weeks!

And then, of course, that reveal moment. I’ve said it before: you are the master of the reveal moment. I LOVE Mamoru’s reaction, the way they talked about it, and his tender care of her at the end.

I’m so happy you were able to get this out, and I love seeing how this story keeps growing!

This was so soft! Somehow despite the heavy shrine hoisting and secret identity reveal and cardian drama it was the most tender chapter yet and I loved it so much!

This might just be my new favorite fanfic!

I loved this chapter! Every time Mamoru corrected himself to (Fake) girlfriend I snorted.

Their easy affection for each other is so sweet, and I loved all the details about the Matsuri! Getting little peeks into Japanese culture through fics is so fun :)

The Sailor Moon revelation (as well as his quiet resentment that she wasn’t showing up was just *chef kiss*

So well done! Can’t wait to see how you either conclude things or blow it all TF up!
