I've liked this story since I've always wanted one that treated Inner as a more serious thing rather than just a joke.

These last two chapters though have pretty much pushed me off the story entirely though. It's pretty clear at this point that Heiko's efforts to extract the skills without the brainwashing were a failure, not a total failure, but a failure nonetheless.

Both of them have basically been overwritten from the girls they were to pragmatic ANBU operatives, and that takes away from the personality elements that I actually liked about them.

Also honestly her parents should have confronted her at some point about her sudden personality and behavior changes because they know she was just subjected to a genjutsu meant to do just that. She said she stopped it, but then suffered major shifts anyway. That should have had her sent to the hospital or somewhere for more specialized care.

You can call it growing up all you want, but that doesn't happen literally overnight like this. Also pragmatic doesn't really describe anyone remotely good in this setting.

Will sakura end up with naruto in this?

I'm so in love with this story! It's well written, and I've always been a fan of including inner somehow. It's great that hokage has now been alerted to how shady Danzo is, haha he really fucked up thinking he could successfully brainwash someone with a freshly developed kekkei genkai.

Hum, why did Sakura know the name of the Great Naruto Bridge in this chapter? They people of the land of waves named the bridge that after they already left. Sasuke only found out it even named that 3 years later.

If I was Kakashi I would arrive unexpectedly early for Sakura’s appointment and not even show up for their appointment tomorrow just to mess with them all.

From what I remember from canon, those that flunk the graduation exam are able to take other professions. I think the scientist with the swirly glasses (forgot her name) was one of these flunkies. I highly doubt they just let highly trained mini-soldiers to live the life of a civilian.

Yeah they don't know much but they know enough to mold chakra and such. Although apparently Sakura's parents were shinobi at one point but stopped while they were genin for some reason. Sadly I can't remember if that tidbit was from the Road to Naruto movie or in one of the filler episodes.

Hmm maybe it’s cause there aren’t enough humans nearby in very close proximity ? On toad mountain there are countless toads but here in the training grounds there are only two humans ? Training in the middle of the market place or commercial district would probably be easier due to the population density.
