Wow, what a sad and moving ending! (but I kind of cheer myself up if I imagine your final part before the game actual ending scene. As you lead that to interpretation, no complaints then from me).
Anyway, your characterization was awesome, I couldn't stop reading because of that. You made fantastic and true-to-the-game both Zidane and Garnet (especially those two).
I particularly adore this kind of fics that fit in-game perfectly, just as a complement to the gameplay, and the decision of the Blue Narciss part was great.
No doubt, this is probably one of my favourite piece of fanfiction writing ever. Please, continue the good work. In the meantime, I will surely take a look at your other FFIX fics. I only hope to like them half as much as I liked this one.

Lovely story, they didn’t really touch very much on Daggers muteness in the game it seemed but you did a much better job.

This was an amazing story. They way captured Garnet’s emotional turmoil, and Zidane’s way of easing it is heartwarming, and heartbreaking all at the same time. The ‘favorite memory’ section was amazing to read. If I didn’t know that the story ultimately ends with Zidane coming back, then this would be overall one of the saddest endings ever! As is though, you’ve set the stage to make his return tremendously... Well, words are failing me now but I think you get the idea!
