Oh god. Why would do this? For a good boy to go through that. I don’t usually get this emotional in this sort of fictions but you really got to me, this is the kind of hope that is seldom real, even in real life. The things animals go through. Just thinking about one surviving the Apocalypse, that cuts deep but in a good way.

Your latest chapter has brought forth more twists and turns through the eyes of Dr. Elena Richardson. From the very start, it is clear that this was set some time after her last recording. Her interactions with ARC soldiers - both early and later end of the chapter - imply that they think she has nearly at the point of losing her sanity, not realizing that she knows the Destroyer is real and is saving humanity from the demonic invasion.

There was some beautiful characterization there, especially when the Slayer rescues a child from the murderous demon horde, and later saving Elena from being used for Deag Nilox’s ‘research’. It shows the reader that even with the blessing from the Seraphim, the Slayer still retains his humanity.

The fight scene between the Slayer and the Marauder was well executed; the way you described the battle (and having Elena voicing her concern for the Slayer when he got struck down by the Marauder’s axe) makes it feel like it would fit into the game itself.

You have truly outdone yourself, and I tip my hat to you. I look forward to the next chapter in this fic, and get to see another survivor with their story to tell.

You know, it’s a wondrous coincidence that you uploaded this today because I got my hands on the game myself today. What a wonder, eh? Forgot about Doctor Elena. She’s a poor woman who’s faith in science and humanity’s capabilities has been shaken too harshly by the demons. It’s always a beautiful thing to hold on to hope, no matter how fleeting it may seem. Although she does come off as... horny, shall we say.

Readings these chapters makes wish for a lot of things that should've been in the actual game. Well, they're canon to me now. Hope you can continue this for a while longer.

Your latest chapter was a bit of a surprise to me; we don’t get to see the cultists’ point of view, and you managed to reveal the ugly nature of their work, even if Mason was trying (and failing) to create a flowery description of it.

Also, I’m glad you captured the Slayer’s caring for the safety and wellbeing of a rabbit after freeing it from Mason’s cruel hands (figuratively and literally); nobody wants a repeat history of what happened to Daisy.

And to top it off, you perfectly finished the chapter with a fitting end to the cultist Mason; ripped apart by the Arch-vile and cast aside and left to die. This is what happens when you side with the Hell Priests; Doom 2016’s Olivia Pierce had to learn that the hard way.

There’s a couple of spelling mistakes in this chapter, but they can be easily fixed.

Now, I wonder how many other survivors are out there, and what their stories are going to be. Will we be seeing from the eyes of other soldiers? Scientists? Young people? I hope there will be a story of a survivor who protects their pets from the demons.

Yeah I want this story to have at least 100 chapters of humans and maybe even demons reacting to the slayer and seeing him in action.
