Interesting. So who attacked the Hinata's family? Neat to see Remus giving them a skill that could prove very useful in a war, depending on their forms. Glad none of them died in the Alley, was a bit worried about Hermione. Orochimaru's dead by this point isn't he? Glad Naruto's taking Harry under his wing after seeing the similarities between them. Can Tonks stay under cover for a year without doing something that'll give her away to the kids who know her? Harry and Tonks fighting side by side was great

Would Orochimaru really want to go against them though? Disregarding the sort of uneasy alliance they made during the war, Orochimaru really is not the kind of person to go against someone who is stronger than him (the reason why he never really went after any of the Akatsuki members, even if Itachi had a Sharingan right there for grabs). He likes living too much for that unless it was a personal grudge like he had with Hiruzen. He could care less for Konoha other than to make Hiruzen suffer for passing over him as Hokage when he was grooming him as his prime apprentice, and for not supporting his scientific endeavours.

Of course, Orochimaru could be playing the long game by making Voldy go after the Konoha team and get killed in the process, thus ridding him of a potential competitor/future enemy while also enjoying the benefits of associating with his side.

What does Orochimaru stand to gain from this team-up that he couldn't possibly get himself if he wanted to?

Especially now that he probably has a way off the continent thanks to Voldy having made contact with him, even if he didn't already have one from being a high ranking ex ninja from Konoha who probably had been assigned one of those missions out of the ninja countries sometime in the past.
He could care less about the power politics as long as he could do all the research he wanted to achieve perfect immortality and learn all the Jutsu in the world which was his dream from the get-go. Even the cursed seal and the formation of the village hidden in the sound was more in response to his wishes to see how the seal could increase one's own powers and also serve as a way for him to be reborn in case his main body was to die. The village was simply for all his cursed troops to gather and strike a blow against Hiruzen. Showing Hiruzen that he too can be a Kage even without Hiruzen's support.

Would Sakura and Ino (maybe Hinata and Hanabi too), like to inspect Dumbledore's injured hand? Could medical ninjutsu possibly make a difference? I know its possible to kickstart cellular regeneration with Iryo Ninjutsu (Kabuto, Tsunade maybe Sakura?). Not to mention how they healed Naruto's hands after practising Rasenshuriken where his individual cells were damaged on a microscopic level (of course Kurama probably helped). It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to use this opportunity to heal damage from a rotting curse and learn more about externalising the process for the Mitotic regeneration technique. With Hinata and Hanabi providing visual aid with their Byakugan. Could even rope in the Fuinjutsu users for supplementary seals. It could give the ninjas something to do when they are bored and keep the busy lol.

Not that I'm complaining, but why not something Saru for Konohamaru? Is it cos it's too close to Sarutobi? As coming from a family with monkey summons, I would think having a Saru (monkey) codename would be reflective of him. Unless you meant for it to really be hard for people (enemies) to tell who's really behind the mask, and I do admit that having a Saru mask would make it much easier for people to make connections as opposed to other masks. I get it for people of Naruto's level though, like it doesn't matter if you know he's Kitsune if you don't have the strength to do anything about it when facing him and Kurama in combat.

Don't think I've seen one of these set when Kakashi is Hokage, never made it that far in the anime, if it covered that far?
Assuming it's Harry they will be protecting, bet he's going to love that.

I don't think Orochimaru would fight Naruto. After the war he was let go because of the body of the Zetsu he took over gave him what he wanted the most. Everyone agreed that they won't hunt him down unless he went back to experimenting on people. And Orochimaru even said that he has no hopes of ever defeating Naruto now or ever hoping too because Naruto is just too powerful for him.

Considering Orochimaru is supposed to be working for Konoha again by this point, I wonder how that meeting will go.

It's kind of funny, Wizards have a whole process of turning into an Animagus just to have the ability to turn into an animal(that they have no choice in if I remember correctly) , while Shinobi can just use the Henge to become any animal. I assume, however, that Animagus gets instincts on how to use their animal form, while Shinobi would have to train with an animal form. For example, Humans don't know how to fly, so I assume an Animagus would have flying instincts if they had a flying animal, while a Shinobi would have to figure out how to fly from scratch.

You did a wonderful job showing Dumbledore’s angst and making Narnato accessible to the fandom blind. This story is beautifully written and intriguing. Great start.

Not bad. Can't imagine them using the masks for the whole time. Especially the two that were supposed to be 'students'. Weren't they unmasked at Ollivander's already?
