Wowsa. I absolutely loved this. When I first saw red meat, the episode made me cringe. Corbin... I was very anxious in seeing Sam choked out, Dean tasered which never should have happened but made it more heartbreaking. Anyways, your story fills in a lot of the gaps in the main story. I love that Sam knows what his brother did and is trying to give Dean the chance to tell him. I love Dean pushing the beds together and your story is much more believable with the use of ivs and the charcoal. I always did think they glossed right on over that. Plus it never made sense that Sam could walk out of the urgent care so soon. Course I also struggled with him being able to kill two were that were actively hunting him as injured as he was. Him being healed somewhat would make some more sense... I loved this. Can't wait to read more of your stories.

Red Meat was such a great episode for so many reasons, and this story is just the icing on the cake to it, I loved it.

Oh how interesting that little hint that maybe Sam was dead or at least on the edge of death. Great tag to one of my favorite episodes.

As always, I love how you write the boys and their interactions and bond. I've been really missing it from the show lately, which has turned into a show about anyone but these two, and I appreciate this especially during the trying times we're going through.

I read this a few days ago and I had to let it be in my mind for a while before I could write something here. Sometimes I finish your pieces and I just sit and stare at the screen and think, "Who ARE you?" Sometimes I'm convinced you work for the show, but most of the time you seem to fix what the show leaves hanging or broken. You come up with concepts and explanations that are so brilliant I picture the writers one day coming across your work, sitting down to read it and cursing themselves for not having come up with some of these things themselves. That last paragraph was another treasure from you. The idea that maybe Billie had given Sam some healing. The fact that Sam knew he'd had a little supernatural "help", but he's not going to add to Dean's plate...
And then in addition to that little bit of gold, the adorable scene of pushing together the ends of the beds.

What a great story, a wonderful addition to an awesome episode. I like how Sam notices Dean's reactions, that he knows what Dean did based on the doctor's words, and that he tells her that Dean wasn't actually committing suicide. I love how they're watching out for each other like Dean with the beds and Sam with the food. Very nice mention of Gadreel - saving each other IS what they do. While I love this episode, I always struggled with how Sam was able to get up and fight so efficiently when he appeared dead before, so your conclusion totally made sense - and I love that Sam knows he was healed somehow and is protecting his brother from that knowledge.

I love your little bit at the endit does indeed look in the scene like he 'came back' vs. 'woke up'. Jared does the huge gasp when waking up just like when he came back in 5.16 and 13.21.
