I'd expect more opposition to his ideas instead of going along with them so easily. You'd think he'd have to cajole some of them to go along with it and go against how they'd always done it and have to get them to put aside their pride and ego for his experiments they don't know will work and just seem queer to them.

I can easily see that the first 6 or so times until he got a reputation as a miracle worker.

It'd be nice to see scenes of him walking them through it answering questions about it instead of a speech that 'this does that easier! Rejoice!' queuing applause as they stitch to it over a glossed over 'results' sentence.

It's that feel that things are slowly changing for the better that draws us in ame keeps us wanting more.

As it is you got something nice here, talking could use a bit more character like retorts and ego and depth instead of easygoing fun that gets a little boring after a while.

I can see a very lucrative trading partnership between skagos and house manderley, a flow of newly refined matieral, tools and knowledge flowing from skagos to the manderley to the starks in winterfell and then everywhere else that wishes to trade for it seeing as all roads in the north eventually lead to winterfell. I would love to see the starks react to a actual giant who is lord of skagos, even he isnt full sized. I imagine they would be wary at first and then amazed. Reaffirming their traditions and family history as fact and not distorted fiction. Will more giants be offered passage to skagos and possibly the north? Inadvertently denying the walkers fortress gate crasher undead troops in the future? Hmmmm one can only hope. Any lord with two bits for brains will see the advantages of giant or half giants under their banner. It makes one wonder if any perceived disadvantages would be ignored for the perceived benefits?

Seriously though! You need to have other ambitious lords go a ranging beyond the wall at some point once word of the new lord of skagos gets out. Offspring that's long lived, level headed and terrifying in battle. Not to mention HUGE. House umber and even possibly some adventurous stark (not the heir or lord but maybe a second son) would see this as an opportunity to secure the north from further subjugation and cultural erosion via the vandals of the south. Cant say magic ain't real with walking talking giants about. The measters are gonna have a collective stroke.

EXTREME STORY POTENTIAL! you could end up starting a fanfiction trend. So very few stories focus on giants, or skagos. I really hope you continue this. I look forward to your next batch of chapter updates! Your work is greatly appreciated!
