I just adore the characters in this show, and love how you've written Jack, Phryne and Hugh! Also your own characters, really well done. Excellent showdown and resolution. I love how Phryne appeared! She and Jack are so perfect together :D Thank you so much for writing this!

Oh, brilliant! I was so excited to see this! THis is such a welcome thing, especially at the moment! I'm forwarding it to another friend who loves, and introduced me to, the Miss Fisher Mysteries! :D Love this opening chapter and the setting of the scene, the tension building and then the denouement!
Percie Jean chapter 2 . 3/22
Well done! Having the intensity of the first chapter resolve so bittersweetly in this one was a great choice for the length of this fic, and all three of the characters in the story come off sympathetic at the end, which is no small feat given how completely at odds they were just 1.5k words ago ;) Nice symbolism/double meaning in the last line, too!
Sir Perfluous chapter 2 . 3/22
All's well that ends well. I liked the way it was ultimately resolved because there had already been one death and no need for another tragedy. I'm glad Jack and Phryne could talk Milo down and even though it was brief, it seems the Inspector the PI have a bit of a fun flirtatious interplay too. I also couldn't help but chuckle a little at how poised and nonchalant Phryne was about walking in on the standoff. She certainly knows how to steal a scene, doesn't she? Nice two-shot!

Looking forward to the next chapter, a great start.
Thank you

Great job of building the suspense in this opening chapter - as always, you're able to do a lot in just a few words, and this chapter really showcases your ability to drop the reader right into the action!

Ooh, interesting. Even though I'm not familiar with this series, I'm still a sucker for a good crime drama story. One thing I can certainly appreciate about your style is the way you can always set up a great tense scene or situation even in a relatively short chapter. I'm going to be excited to see how this unfolds!
