The manipulation by the drive of conflict is shining

It felts that Missy noticed that she is being controlled by 'something' but was unable to mark the conclusion because of the same mind control

The story isn't bad, you reached AU territories without crashing but the excessive drive to conflict makes it Angst

That is the spirit of WORM, mostly for Taylor who has a drive to success regardless of cost to herself and mostly others

If this wasn't WORM i would recommend an extra day of wandering before she went back to Brockton Bay

Someone finds about her power and wants to use her, wanting to feel safe she would go to a place where she knew someone that was trust worthy, spend a few days as a rogue that crossed paths with the heroes before joining

Heck, even a single conversation with a policeman on the next day should 'inspire' her

But this is WORM, Parahumans do not need good reasons to make bad choices

YES! I've been saying that for years! If Amy can't affect herself, so what? She's the *world's best* biokinetic! She can *make* the living equivalent of a nanotech chrysalis machine, which could remake her into whatever she pleased. Even better, she'd be connected to it throughout the process, which would ensure fine control over its operations.

And it's adorable that she's finally got a friend. Also, anything that even partially removes the stick from Carol's ass is a good thing (and Missy had to save her life to even get *that* far).

I think that Missy is moving more and more into the hero life.

Brandish is such a biiiiiiiitch. How is it that I’ve read more stories with a relatable Sophia than a relatable Carol? (Not saying that your characterization is wrong, mind you)

While I’m sad that the road trip seems to be ending, the duo is remaining together, which is great. Looking forwards to the continuation of this story.

In any case... it's good that even, as terrible of a cost as it came to, Missy recognizes how useless the Protectorate/ PRT and heroes in general really are. She's different enough that she will be unlikely to default in any way to her canon self. The best way that she can get out of conscription is if she is able to stay out of custody somehow. Her age and lack of any heroic showings for herself does make it easier for them to dismiss her out of hand. Hmmm... could she also meet up with Taylor at some point? Though it depends on Sophia still having been forced into the Wards like canon and that being discovered, Taylor and Missy together would be a good team along with Amy once Amy can be convinced to strike out with them and recognizes that New Wave has been just as useless as the official authorities have been (considering that Amy and Vicky have been the ones carrying New Wave and it would crumble without the two since the others don't actually do any hero work by this point in the timeline).
