Ah...Jewel's been through some pretty hard shit, hasn’t she? I offer her m sympathies, but also my respect. Even though upbringing and personal experiences shapes a person, it is ultimately us who decides who we wish to be the future. I'm also slightly surprised to see Jewel opening up so easily...though I guess you need somewhere to vent after you go through such a long period of social isolation. Oh, but didn’t Jewel mention something along the lines of knowing that she‘a a creator's avatar or something? Did she realize that during her time in isolation? If so, does that mean she can break the fourth wall?

I've figured it out.
Jewel has MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder).
That explains the voices, and how she "looked like a different person".
It also explains how she can't use Offensive and Defensive magic at the same time, since the personalities are linked to them.
If I've got it right, I will be sooooooooooo happy-

lol Well, Jewel's personality is very similar to Sans, which is why she and Classic Sans clash a little. But also being an empath also means she takes in the emotions of those around her, which means that when she's calm and relaxed, she reflects their personalities more back at them. She's essentially an emotional mirror, which is why Nightmare is after her to begin with. She's got her own trauma and self-hate goes a long way for someone like him. Her powers and everything is going to be explained in-depth in upcoming chapters, once Everyone has a chance to talk to her and things are smoothed out.

So Jewel is essentially another strange version of Sans? I could see it implied in the Error wouldn’t be Error is he's not a feral agressive cat most of the time XD

I've actually only seen cursory things of UnderVerse, so I don't know fully... but Ink is different in this one. I had to modify his soul situation just slightly to make a plot point work. Jewel's empathy and how his ink works. The point is he's a selfish character as Myebi/Comyet intended. He's in a lot of discovery right now as Jewel's magic affects him and he's not certain of anything right now.

To Bella:
I'm really glad you like it! I have fun with fluff chapters, but I need to get some serious action going soon. After another set of "calm down" chapters, since Jewel is giving everyone anxiety, we'll get into some darker story with Nightmare, though even those... Jewel is essentially a Sans, preferring to talk than to fighting, but when she's backed into a corner, well... you'll see in Chapter 20.

As for the relationship with her and Error... it is a slow burn. With Haphephobia, you don't get past more than a few rare people touching you and while Error is slowly getting to know people and opening up more with a constant positive in his life, he's still the angry little feral kitten we know him as. He's not going to let really anyone else get so close.

I just binge read through the chapter and I absolutely love it! The hurt and comfort part of the story is going really well so far, and the latest chapter is so fluffy that I feel like my teeth is going to rot (in a good way). By the way, is this just pure friendship or a slow burn romance?
