| Dw.618 chapter 24 . 7/11 This chapter was so beautiful...I love how powerful Rey felt, how she immediately knew to comfort Olive, how affected Ben was, how Leia praised Rey for her strength before even looking for Olive, ...and Ben singing to Olive...swoon! By the way, I want to tell Rey that breastfeeding shouldn't hurt. If Olive has her mouth opened up sufficiently, the sensitive part of the nipple is so far back in her mouth that her tongue isn't touching it at all. If Rey is feeling pain while nursing, she needs to immediately use her pinky finger to break the latch, then help Olive latch on again better. Please consider sharing this message with your readers as something that Rey learns along the way. You've been so accurate about so many of Rey's fears and feelings and worries...please help others know that breastfeeding shouldn't involve pain and that it is often needed to get help from a lactation nurse to get the positioning right. |
