I’m so glad I saw this fic again and re-red it. I was pleasantly surprised to see there were more chapters! I absolutely loved it and I can’t wait for Al to see his mom all dolled up. I Love the Surrogate mother thing you have going on with Angel and El! It’s so wholesome and makes me so happy to see our little spider boyo being taken care of by a mother figure.

Man, I missed this chapter. Although I do wonder if a man like Adam would have been prosecuted for raping a black woman back then because in those days rape of of women of color by whites in power was overlooked.

Adam doesn't like that his son can cook and sew? He is digging his own grave if he tries to argue with Elli about that. The cannibal part while bad, not accepting that part of his son will not go well for him. Elli flaw would be that she is too trusting to everyone she meets. Granted she has a lot of powerful friends. Still too trusting. I would love to see how she reacts to someone hurting her son.

Alastor's love for bitter things kinda ties in with how sociopaths tend to drink bitter things. Oftentimes, they'll drink coffee for the first time and absolutely love it. Since Adam likes bitter things, does this make him a sociopath to? O.O

Maybe a character flaw could be she jumps to conclusions sometimes. Like with Pretentious, she believed his every word despite the fact that in context Pretentious was attacking the hotel. Also that's one big flaw of Adam is that again he tries to justify his actions without really thinking about how it hurts him. Even though Alastor would have loved to have his father support him and his mother, I do think he would be of two minds because he really doesn't want a penny out of someone who hurt his mother that way. I do think it's interesting to give Adam redeeming factors, but his rape of Elli prevents him from being a good person and a good reason he's down there in hell.

Perhaps Ms. Ellie should hate cats while Alastor likes them? That was just the first thought that came to mind. I know normally it wouldn't be considered a flaw. Or is afraid of birds? I am thoroughly enjoying the story and can't wait for the next part. I actually cried despite the urge to remain logical (in the fact that Alastor's emotions are valid, anyone would question their life if they found out information like this, etc.). Thank you for staying true to Alastor (I am ace/aro as well and am so glad Alastor is the same as a character, so I like stories that keep him being himself). I adore Rosie and Mimzy as being platonic friends with him. I think the trio should be ARM (Alastor, Rosie, and Mimzy, best friends arm-in-arm). Have a great day and I'll stay tuned. _

Seriously, if there are two people who can help him through this situation it would be them. Even though I think Rosie is more Victorian era and much older than him it would be in-character for her to care about his wellbeing. I also guess he's speaking Creole French.

Man, that is a blow to Alastor's ego. Everyone is getting mama's attention, except for him. Seriously, I think it's because a genuine mother's love is non-existent in hell for good reason. And Eli has to be the best Mama ever. You know I think she's actually as old as Sir Pentious since he died in his 40's in 1880. So, she might be as old him. Though it is kind of funny seeing even Pentious gets his mother's attention before him.
