Grima getting to understand exactly where he went wrong, exactly what he did wrong, and exactly why he always was wrong is refreshing. Especially when presented like this! Amazing work, I love the prose and presentation. My only critique is that I don't really imagine Grima begging for another chance like he did here. He would be aware that doing so would be like lowering himself to the same depravity as the sinful men he's killed himself, which is something he doesn't seem like he'd allow.
Although, it DOES drive the point home that pride was all that drove him, so in the end its a matter of perspective! Great work.
