As far as pairings are concerned, I wouldn't really agree either with the queen falling head over heals for the queen or vice-versa.

Though, I wouldn't mind if we could see more of Suiryu interacting with Malty, and driving Malty a bit crazy with his actions. (Knocking her pre-conceived reality out of balance like before)

It's stupid because Mirellia genuinely loves the King even after all the stuff he pulls in canon and is even willing to put her head to the guiilotine to save him and that love is of equal intensity when it comes to the king. Bitch Princess and Church are just pressing his trauma buttons all the time

Since Melty is too young, pairing Suiryu with Mirelia is fine. Mirelia may be older than probably most women Suiryu has fooled around with, but with age comes experience, so her more experienced charm (both as an individual and a Queen) could at least pique Suiryu’s interest later on in your story (albeit probably not straight away, but after some extended interactions). Plus, there aren’t many “Hero and Queen” dynamic type of pairing I’ve heard of (not counting Aultcray of course, as while he is the Staff Hero, he is a primary example of the “Fall From Grace” trope. Plus, while Aultcray may be one of the Seven Star Heroes, he’s not a Cardinal hero, so he shouldn’t even be comparable to Suiryu who is born an official hero in his world and the Cardinal Hero in the shield hero-verse). Plus, Mirelia is pretty shrewd and intelligent individual, a pragmatic woman who is a benevolent and proficient ruler (who also isn’t prejudiced or racist against the Demi-Hunans/Beastmen, as shown when she tried to politically make an alliance with the Demi-Human nation, and when she cleaned up the political messes that both her Aultcray, Malty and the Church of the Three Heroes has caused. So she’s a reasonable and fair ruler as well, and despite being the ruler with the real power due to her kingdom being a Matriarchal society, she doesn’t misuse or abuse any of her royal power that I know of), so I’d say that Mirellia would definitely at least be one of the candidates that Suiryu would settle down with a serious relationship with once she has divorced (or whatever the equivalent of it is for royalties) Aultcray. I’m fine with this pairing, and I actually like it even.

Harem however is an issue in my personal opinion. Harem wouldn’t realistically work in real life due to how much jealously that’s going to cause for the several women being in a relationship with the same guy (same thing for the reverse harem with several guys being in a relationship with the same girl), and the sheer conflict that could cause which would have a risk that’s going to end very badly for all parties (such as “taking the competition out of the picture” to receive the attentions of that guy, which could very well include orchestrating the death of one of the “competitors” or even directly murder them). If you found a way to have the harem work in a functional way that is believable, then I’ll be fine with it as long as the harem is written well-enough and in a believable manner, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re absolutely confident that you can pull it off (not even the most talented and experienced writers that I know of could make a harem work in a functional manner and makes all of the characters happy in a believable manner). Plus I doubt Suiryu is the type to have several lovers for serious relationships (and by serious, I’m talking behind just flings and one night stands), especially for how disrespectful that is for one of the romantic partners and how risky it is that could make it all backfire, and I’m pretty sure Suiryu is smart enough to not even bother trying to form any romantic/sexual relationships that are all actually serious.

It’s your choice in the end, but if you’re going for the one true pairing route, then Mirelia should be a pretty fitting candidate for Suiryu.

If B**ch and Trash try to use that duel to take Raphtalia and Rifana away from Suriyu I doubt it would work, since A: Suriyu is much stronger than the other heroes physically and mentally as well as coming from a world of people with powers and fighting much more dangerous monsters on a daily basis, B: neither of them have slave crests and are being trained to fight , and C: even if they do cheat Suriyu will still win due to having more fighting experience and will be fast enough to dodge B**ch’s magic and I hope to see her and her dad get angry at the Shield Hero winning.

Wait did Seiryu at least search there pockets for anything incriminating like who sent them or even just take their money and stuff
You could just make Melty a bit older maybe 16 or something since Malty is at least 20 or 21 she is younger then Naofumi at least
I want to say that Beloukas can decently judge someone’s character so i kinda doubt he will show Seiryu the slaves maybe the monsters and the eggs at least

Great chapter, so finally Suiryu revealed to Rifana and Raphtalia that he is the legendary shield hero, well their emotion was obvious for this revelation, and now Rifana finally could fulfill her dream of meets and even supports the shield hero.

Also, considering the personality of Suiryu, i guess that he could gets the trust of Raphtalia and Rifana more faster than Naofumi, because he isn't intimidating like Naofumi, Suiryu is more friendly and open, and even this could works to that Suiryu can gets more support than Naofumi for behaves like a hero, in terms of social interactions.

And to finishes, i really wonder what would happens with the meeting between the shield team with Beloukas, the slave trader, because Suiryu and his companions, already have a very negative opinion about the slavery, meaning that Suiryu wouldn't see Beloukas in positive or neutral manner, but he would see him like a despicable villain that has slaves. Then, it is highly possible that this meeting ends in bad terms, because certainly Suiryu wouldn't be a customer to Beloukas and even he could ends threating Beloukas for be a slaver. Then i suspects two possibles outcomes for this meeting:

1. That Suiryu tries to fights Beloukas to rescue the slaves, to put an end to another slaver that treats unfairly innocents demi-humans and beastmen, to the point of neglects them.

2. That Suiryu simply threatens Beloukas in that he would become stronger and would returns to set free his slaves, because even if Suiryu wishes rescue this slaves, he is aware that in this rotten country, the slavery is legal, and considering that the shield hero is scorned here, takes the inmediate decision of challenges Beloukas could brings him problems early in melromarc, making that he needs first get stronger and/or get support of others, before to could fights for the freedom of the slaves, leaving to Beloukas this warning about that he would brings down his shady business one day.
