Good story! Great characterization, even pacing, spot on storyline, great grammar and formatting, all around excellent. You did a remarkable job on this. I really like how Varion turned the situation around, as if his suffering and redemption would help her realize she was forgivable. I also really liked the talk with Eugene and how he handled the strain of his forgivness of her. Are you going to do another chapter focusing on Rupunzel and Cass or leave it like this?

Okay, so I have to say this is like The Most PERFECT fanfic. The characters were SPOT ON, acted and sounded JUST like them, great job. The story was well paced and super sweet and forgiving and yet just the right amount of seriousness/angst. I could really go on and on this was spectacular. Well done!

I really hope we get the last two chapters of this story. I really like the way it develops Cassandra as a character, and gives us insights into her thoughts and feelings as she starts her journey towards redemption. This chapter is pretty effective, keeping the sibling-rivalry style bickering between Cassandra and Eugene whilst fully dealing with their emotional traumas. The violence (we see Eugene's injuries from his fights in the season finale) and bad language ("This was her own damn fault") are slightly more extreme than they could ever be on the Disney Channel, but are perfectly suited to this story and its more realistic tone. I also really like the way it emphasises Cassandra's guilt over her actions whilst ultimately maintaining a hopeful approach...

Awww, it was soo sweet! My heart hurt a little reading this.
Actually, no, it hurt like hell. It still does. But the ending compensated for that, it was just so warm. I wished it was longer but the plot moved very naturally and you ended it on a perfect note.
You shouldn't stress yourself over this, though. Writing all this is supposed to be fun and relaxing, not give you more things to worry about. I get it is usually hard to post your work but don't worry about fulfilling the people's expectations or anything like that. I don't have any and you still succeed in exceeding them.

Hola! I love this story so far! I'm excited for the chapter with Raps and Kass talking things out! I hope you're staying safe during this virus chaos. I could hear everyone as though it was part of the finale! You captured Cass's emotions perfectly!

All Disney projects wrap things up a little too quickly at the end, but when you have a protagonist who travels as far down the path of villainy as Cassandra does, this emphasis on the positive can feel like an especially big problem. Given that another issue with Cassandra's villain arc was the lack of focus on her POV throughout the series, stories about how she comes to terms with the damage she's done are always worth reading.

We don't know how the city of Corona was affected by the fight with Zhan Tiri, but given that the castle remained damaged at the end, it is reasonable to assume that the rest of the buildings needed repairs. I like the idea of using a dance scene as a metaphor for the journey back into the light. Cassandra and Varian are in character, and this is the sort of make-up moment they needed.

Ultimately, this fanfic does a good job of getting Cassandra to deal with the effects of her villainy, whilst also providing the sense of hope which makes her redemption so powerful...
