Okay, easy joke to make aside. I read the story that inspired yours, The Pass, many years ago, and of course, I liked it a lot. Obviously, it was kind of disappointing that it was only a one shot, but it was still a great read, and it made me support the idea of a Shan Yu x Mulan pairing. Had they met each other under different circumstances or if they were on the same side, then they could easily bond with each other.

Of course now you are granting the wishes of everybody who wished The Pass was a multi chapter story, so great job for that!

Humph. Mulan should ask/demand to know that OTHER than having LIVED with the Huns for six years, she should ask/demand to know exactly WHAT about her actually LOOKS like a 'Hun slave' when she was 'rescued'?

When she was 'rescued' she WASN'T shackled and wearing chains. She WASN'T kept locked up in some harem room. She WASNT covered in cuts and bruises from 6 years of beatings or whatever slaves go through. When they 'rescued' her they talked about her being 'broken' by her so called slavery under the Huns, yet in between her rescue and reluctant return home, exactly WHAT part of acted like a beaten down 'broken' slave girl that they THOUGHT she was after six years living as a 'slave' of the Huns.

She was out FIGHTING with her so called 'masters', running FREE as any other person and riding on Khan in the thick of battle wielding weapons and FIGHTING like a seasoned WARRIOR. She wasn't leashed or chained up like somebody's 'pet'. The fact that they allowed their so called 'slave' to be out FIGHTING amongst them instead of locked up with the other slave girls should have spoken volumes of what her life REALLY was like, especially if they allowed her to ride a horse like Khan without chaperones or whatever to keep her from running away IF she wanted to run away.

Instead of letting people call her a Hun slave, she should snap back that she was NEVER a slave of ANY kindand that she was free to do whatever she wanted and show exactly what it was she learned among the Huns to the nonbelievers out there.

Though... Seeing how they are making her do the matchmaker bide ritual, I'm surprised they ARE letting/making her do it. With all their assumptions about what her role as a Hun slave must have been, I wonder how many wonder about her bridal 'purity' rate if the Huns used her as their 'plaything' before her rescue. Unless they did the 'virginity test' to see if she REALLY still a virgin or not before putting her through the matchmaker thing.
