. "It's just Scott Tracy's luck that he's there when it finally breaks apart" He probably broke it when he leapt on top of it from a great height, you know how much he loves jumping out of planes and rockets and shizz.
. Jeff's grip bruising Scott's knuckles. Ay chihuahua! *fans self*
. Jeff teaching Scott how to be a Rescue Scout oh my god I'd forgotten about that! *heart eyes*
. The Jeff/Scott Scott/Alan parallels have been so strong right the way through the series but they were by far at their most obvious in this episode. Alan's hero-worship of Scott is almost as off the charts as Scott's hero-worship of Jeff - the trust, the confidence, the barely concealed sense of awe every time their hero does something ...umm... heroic... it's all there and all absolutely gorgeous.
. "Dad?" "I've got you, son." The impact of hearing those words after so long. Even more reassuring than hearing an 'I love you' - I've got you is a promise, an assurance that you'll never fall, that everything will be all right because your DAD has got you. I may or may not be crying but it's late and I have hormones.
. It's okay, though, cos Scott nearly cried too.
. The faintest cry was the loudest cry of all. OMG. *weeps openly*

This was. I'm not even being funny. It was just perfect. I mean. It was perfect, what more is there? You managed to get all the emotion that every single viewer had during those final 30 seconds of the episode and put it into words so eloquently and with such digital precision it's like you just looked into everyone's consciousness for a minute. I loved it.

And I bet this is longer than the fic I am a disgrace, I'm sorry...

Don't be unsure about this, I think it's brilliant! This contains the perfect description of everything Scott from the last episode and I love the way you've written it with such insight. Another lovely piece of work from you!

Aggh Teebs, this is wonderful! It's great to get inside Scott's head during this huge (but very quick) moment, and I love the way you write him. I love the little paragraph about the chain of command, Alan to Scott, Scott to Jeff, like a flowing river. It's just *chef's kiss* :D

Definitely looking forward to seeing how they wrap this all up, because I have Thoughts. Oh, and I agree. He'll always be Jefferson Grant Tracy :)
