Truly an astounding first chapter.

The character of Shiho Suzui is somewhat overlooked in P5TA, mainly serving as a complement to Ann Takamaki, but here, you've brought her into her own, and the backstory that you have provided for her is rich with heartbreaking details and serves to explain her reticence when dealing with the oppressive Kamoshida. Her interactions with Mishima are sweet, showing that despite the violent events of her past and the mental and physical abuse of her present, she can still reach out to others in a caring and selfless manner. Your fearlessness in dealing with these subjects is to be commended. Ren/Akira (he's more of a Ren to me) and Ryuji's characterizations are spot-on, particularly Ryu's brashness and desire for vengeance, even if it means paying the ultimate price to achieve it. And dropping Shiho into the world of the Phantom Thieves feels like it's going to be a real treat. I am looking forward to seeing how her acceptance of Ren's offer (I assume she will accept) will change her. I think that Kamoshida is in for a nasty surprise no matter what happens...
