One question though, why did Nick vanish?

I mean, I get it that he became a spirit after his death, but Judy said he "vanished into thin air", even though the hospital should have informed at least someone that he passed on, shouldn't they?

Not exactly my cup of tea. Especially definitely not when I'm just start my morning and you got me all emotional and moody.
But with this type of story, that only means you did a so god damn good work. I enjoy (eh maybe not as much as I usual with your writing) the story as well.
