I am really liking the premise for this story. Maybe EU Luke can Keep Han alive. I really look foreword to the next chapter. Will Luke ever get his Hands on an X-wing and go up to the Sky to slaughter FO fighters?

I know very little about Legends, but I do like how this is going! I hope you're not too mean on the Sequel Trilogy though- they were definitely flawed, but it's still Star Wars and I had fun watching it :)

So I really like this, but you're going to run into a major problem with 'sticking to movie canon' here very soon. Legends Luke is OP as hell, (fine in my opinion since he's a joke in canon) by this time he's already fought the reborn Palpatine and killed him in single combat, controlled a black hole and ripped a Star Destroyer out of the sky with his mind. Unless you're going to nerf him into the ground or keep him on the sidelines, which would defeat the purpose of this story, you're going to have some major plot changes. Once Snoke/Palpatine becomes aware of his presence he's probably going to panic, since this Luke is more powerful than the one he was expecting to deal with.

Finally, FINALLY, a crossover between Legends!Star Wars and Disney!Star Wars that isn't garbage!
The concepts of the characters in the sequel trilogy are all great, but after TFA, the way the concepts were executed was just... lacking.
I really hope to see Mara and/or Luke duel with Kylo, or L!Luke have an argument with himself in D!Luke

The thing that kept most people from complaining about Luke's powers in legends imho is as follows.
1. George Lucas said prime luke should be the most powerful force user ever well above the power of prime sidious. So we should see amazing feats like where he appeared to be wielding multiple lightsabers simultaneously.
2. The guys who story boarded the series decided to add what you did that luke cannot go all out without sacrificing his ability to hear the force if he does it outside extreme circumstances.
3. No matter how strong he got his enemies were always a danger. Multiple Sith combatants a force user from mortis etc even the vong pushed him to his limits and like Kenobi he is shown to be most vulnerable in a space fight despite his great skill.

Keep it up don't let this project die dialogue is where most writers have issues I was amazed at how well you had the whole gangs characters right especially Mara's it was like reading a timothy zahn book.
Don't let it die keep it up and this will go down as one of the best star wars fanfics ever.

And keeping solo alive would be awesome seeing him and this luke interact is just to much fun to drop it down a reactor core. Plus seeing him argue with 2 of the Kid would be hilarious. If you need an out In survivors quest it was established that both mara and eu luke can heal people in extreme circumstances so he can still get stabbed by kylo and survive.

Anyway, Finn. Personally, I don't agree with your take on finding Force Sensitive. That test, was not foolproof. And like you said, there are cases where a sensitive manage to hide themselves entirely instinctively. And Force triumph over machines (meaning test) anytime. But whatever. Since he's not a potential force user, maybe he can be like Han. I believe there are many like Han, those who are often 'lucky'. The theory is that they are force sensitive, but not enough potential to be a wielder, only extremely lucky.

Legend Luke is powerful, of course. But I do wonder if he can do the whole Solid Astral Projection thing...across the whole galaxy at that. Maybe disney/canon Luke can teach Legend Luke a few things as well...

Sorry my last post cut out. By legacy or fate luke could handle Palpatine snoke and kylo combined. Hand of thrawn luke is certainly at least an equal. We know Palpatine can ragdoll kylo he just threw him off the Mt and we know from comics snoke is no match for even canon luke. Suggestion if you do the kylo rey force bond deal have it not only heal but ncrease Palpatine powers so he's a threat to the whole gang. And speed up that confrontation maybe have to have 2 Luke's fighting him. And whatever you do please don't kill solo.

I am really enjoying how this fic is shaping up. The only issue I can see creeping up is how much more powerful than just about everyone Legends!Luke is. This is a double-edged sword to some extent as Luke's mere presence in the galaxy would go off like a firework to everyone who knows how to use the Force. I can also see Luke being very disappointed with how the Republic in this galaxy has gone. And the apparent lack of leadership from the former leaders of the Rebellion. I am really looking forward to where this goes.

So far, this is pretty good and I'm interested in it. I'll be following the story.

You've done a good job so far of balancing the characters of the two canons and haven't devolved into a bash-fic or backhanded insults towards characters and concepts, which is what most of these that I've seen have done. Luke and Mara are out of their element, but are also trying to look at things from other characters' perspectives to make sense of it rather than just cast summary judgments.

I'm also glad to see that you're sticking to your guns in terms of trying to stick to the general sequels movie plots so far. There are things I dislike about the movies, but I never got the energy to be as mortally offended as some, anymore than I got offended at bad Legends plotlines and series. I'm much more interested in taking the good and tweaking or salvaging what can be done from the bad.

As an aside, I think there is some character development that you can and should keep in mind for Legends!Luke and Mara later on. There's obviously a lot that should probably be tweaked to make a Palpatine return more sensible (even just move his "message to the galaxy" to the end of the TLJ equivalent as a cliffhanger), but Mara having to actually confront her past with a reborn Palpatine is a strong potential plot-point. Similarly, I don't think that the lessons from Legends Luke and Sequels Luke are entirely one-sided. It should be very off-putting to see yourself in such a state, and I could see some genuine introspection on Legends!Luke's part about how he'll need to deal with his legendary status and confidence in the future to avoid failing his own family (as I would personally argue he did in Legacy of the Force, but that's neither here nor there).

This is going to be the first fic I am going to follow that is based primarily on the so-called new canon and trilogy. The sequels really should have stuck with either being a continuation or a complete reboot. Not something like the Frankenstein's monster.

This fic looks promising. I don't expect 'legends' Luke to be god-like Mary Sue but I do expect him to be quite powerful and skilled considering what I have read in the 'legends' novels.
