Reviews for Unbroken
Late to the Party chapter 1 . 2/21
This is inspired, magnificent; what a fascinating concept! The last part made me chuckle: double entry bookkeeping indeed! A most powerful tool!

You have lovely descriptions, beautiful characterisations and terrific interactions, interesting sidenotes and background, and you wrap it up in a satisfying way. So really, this is on par with what I've come to expect from your writing! Thank you for sharing this. :)
Nikoru Sanzo chapter 1 . 2/7
Thank you for reminding us that the Slayer is truly a frightful creature and not a cuddly giant shrimp. *shivers*
Poor Solaufein, but taking comfort that he had beseeched the Lady Silverhair before passing on. :(
Matron Mother Aerie! Making those proud pronouncements in her tiny voice! Take that , Viconia! XD Her attempt to shield Anomen from Phaere was endearing – especially the slip with the birds in the sky. The “Wait! I mean, tadpoles” was just too cute. XD
An iron abacus… would Phaere and Albescu get along? XD
Nice telling detail on Phaere’s torture scar, as to why she got it made it all the more painful *winces sadly*
The picnic place was beautiful, I could really see it in my mind’s eye. So luminous! :D
Anomen’s viewpoint and inner thoughts were so awesomely done – you truly felt his despair and the sharp contrast from his previous arrogance was sobering. Likewise the rare displays of wistfulness in Phaere.
Lulz double entry bookkeeping! For not many could master the dark and forbiddingly treacherous arcane art of DROW GAAP. XD
And now reading of their delightful evil picnic has left me with a craving for salted duck eggs. XD
Nimloth of Thay chapter 1 . 2/6
Hehehe, seeing Aerie playing the role of an arrogant bossy Drow female is funny, considering how shy and gentle she truly is, I liked this twist. Also, her listing Anomen's faults was hilarious, though I suppose he has gotten rid of at least some of them by now :-)
Poor Anomen, no matter how much he grows up, he's always quick to fall into that thrice-damned trap of self-deprecation at the first opportunity. Sure, keeping his distance from his beloved when she was at her lowest is not the best thing he did, but I have no doubt that she understands his reason for doing so: the Slayer is not to be taken lightly, after all.
Poor, poor Solaufein, but at least he is at peace now, safe in Eilistraee's heaven :-(
Beautiful description of the spot Anomen chose for the picnic, I could nearly see it!
Interesting to see him finding something in common with Phaere of all people and I hope their chat could ease his pain at least a little bit.
Loved Phaere's line "Even the highest followers of Llolth know how to quail when faced with double entry bookkeeping" xD
