Reviews for The Biggest Fox
Incentives23 chapter 7 . 5/19
Love this. Would really like to see which direction you take this. Will Naruto remain big forever or will he (a) learn to shrink down by compressing his chakra or something of the sort or (b) go back to being human or having a human-like figure. Either well done! I hope to see more of this.

IGT chapter 7 . 2/5
good chapter but bad cliffhanger

"The nine-tails is extremely powerful, but if we work together along with you, Lord Raikage, I believe we could win. It won't be pretty, however. I'm not sure this is the best way to go about this." Yugito stated after a few moments.
hahaha
Kurama (50%) fought the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 tails in battle

I think Kurama (100%) is stronger than all the other bijū combined, maybe inversely-proportional power boost (the 10 tails was without Kurama&Gyuki still stronger)

but Kurama is now Naruto (and only 7 years)

and I don't know your plans but bijū NarutoXMatatabi would be interesting
TheOlympus chapter 7 . 2/5
Thanks again for the update! it seems almost everyday and I'm not complain about it at all.

I thought at first there was a mistake with Itachi as a girl but I guess it wasn't? lol it's fine by me but please no harem (?) I don't really mind with gender changer but please not that. Overall I love it.. keep fighting author!

judedota chapter 4 . 2/3
Damn, this was really well done!

I think there was a somewhat similar fic updated recently where Naruto became the Kyubi after his fight with Sasuke at the VotE, I think something like the Kyubi passed on his power to save Naruto and leave a legacy behind, and Naruto became the Kyubi. It was interesting, but if I recall it was pretty heavily focused on humor. It also seemed to fizzle out once Naruto got back to Konoha. Well, maybe it'll still be updated, but I got the impression the author didn't know where to go with the fic after that.

Either way, I was pretty excited to see the same idea again so soon. I'm happy that for the most part, this one seems to be a lot more serious. I see it is tagged as Humor, but it doesn't necessarily seem like it's a parody, and the plot is still being taken seriously, which is good. Also, given you're starting it from when Naruto is younger, I think you'll have a lot more options to continue the fic, since you can still take the story in many different directions. And I eagerly hope you do continue this fic for a long, long time! :)

I gotta say, I nearly got chills when I read that line, "Jiji…?" That was absolutely epic! I was a bit annoyed at first when the next chapter retold the same scene from Sarutobi's view, but as I read on it was definitely the right choice, and made it even more epic when you got back to that 'Jiji' line once again, then continued on from there. That was really a great way to show that scene, first from Naruto, then re-showing it from Sarutobi, and continuing the conversation from his point of view. I also love how you portrayed Sarutobi in general, basically that he can be calm and calculated even in such an intense situation, and quickly come to the correct conclusion and get things under control.

I also like that you made Naruto attuned to his Negative Emotion Sensing already, and his ability to tell lies. I love that Naruto completely shut Sarutobi down when he told him he could still become a ninja. Too many fics of Sarutobi feeding Naruto sweet lies or empty promises, it was really satisfying to see Naruto suddenly able to see one for what it was after he became the Kyubi, even if Sarutobi didn't have ill intentions by doing so. I don't blame Sarutobi for doing so, but sometimes it is nice to not have to watch Naruto be strung along. Despite getting Naruto up to speed, didn't seem like he mentioned his parents. Probably should let him know soon (once he's calmed down some), since there's really no reason to hide it anymore anyways, and given Naruto's sensing abilities, he'll probably realize something is wrong sooner or later, which will be worse if he finds out on his own. Hell, with his hearing he might overhear things like that from miles away as well.

I do have to wonder if that power will become a hindrance though. Honestly I think he would've been overwhelmed by all the hatred he was feeling, and even now all the fear and resentment being directed at him. For a 7-year-old Naruto who had an even worse life than in canon, not to mention he just killed himself, I feel like it could crush him. Even as the Kyubi, I feel he'd become catatonic, overwhelmed with dread. Well, maybe becoming the Kyubi has desensitized him to it, similar to how it did with his senses. I feel like it probably shouldn't though, given the Kyubi himself even fell victim to the dark thoughts of others over his long life, basically turning him into the 'evil demon' he became known as in canon. So Naruto becoming the Kyubi really shouldn't offer him any mental/emotional resilience, since even the real Kyubi didn't seem to have any, all he really had was a 'tolerance' that took 1000 years to acquire.

Well, it'll be interesting to see how it affects Naruto going forward, since basically all people, especially Shinobi, rely on deception, and probably often harbor different emotions than what they're actually projecting. Naruto will be able to see through all of it, and that's not always a good thing. As a boy, he could often see the fear and resentment the villagers threw his way. I can only imagine how much worse it'll be to literally feel it from them, and even more people that aren't in his line of sight, ALL THE TIME. How even when people interact cordially with him, many of them will secretly be harboring hatred for him, straight to his face. Especially since I can only imagine how much more the village will hate him after this. In some ways him becoming the Kyubi now basically disproves he was truly the Kyubi before, but to civilians, this will only validate that they were right all along, and that he deserves their hatred and contempt even more now. Even if Sarutobi does figure out a way to 'include' Naruto in the village and some how make use of his power for the benefit of Konoha, most will probably always resent him on principle, worse than before. Especially those that suffered in the first attack.

A little disappointed that the council meeting was so short, but maybe we'll see more going forward. I wasn't really sure how much everyone seemed to know. Well, the Shinobi are disciplined enough to not ask questions for now, but I imagine they won't wait forever. I also cracked up when Sarutobi spoke with Danzo. Assuming Danzo already knows what's actually going on, that the Kyubi is actually Naruto (which, given his ROOT would've been all over the scene, he'd HAVE to), it's so easy to imagine what would be going through his mind, you could probably predict his entire conversation before he even spoke it. "Hiruzen, you should let me handle the Kyubi. Think of the potential he would bring to Konoha! Not just a Jinchuriki, but a fully released Bijuu under our control! Konoha will be unstoppable!" Sarutobi probably imagined the entire conversation before it even happened, and just cut to the chase and shut Danzo down. Made me laugh with how much WASN'T said in that scene, rather than what little was.

Curious to see what your intentions are with the Uchiha. Well, specifically Mikoto's children. It's pretty clear Itachi is a girl, and now Sasuke has a twin. I'll hold reservation for now, as I have no idea what you plan to do with them, but on the surface I'm not a huge fan. It's always a bit annoying to read a For Want of a Nail type fic that starts off with one significant change (in this case, Naruto becoming the Kyubi), but as time goes on there's tons of completely random and unrelated changes that have nothing to do with the original premise. Well, like I said, it's still nothing now, so I don't mean to complain, but usually when you see OC siblings and sibling gender changes in Naruto fics, they go off the rails or go downhill very fast.

One more thing, although maybe I'm asking for a spoiler. Will the actually Kyubi (Kurama) make any appearance in this fic? I assume something happened where the Kyubi either merged with Naruto, or the Kyubi 'died' and Naruto took over his power. Both cases I doubt we'll see actual Kurama again, but I thought maybe we might since he is tagged in the fic. It's not uncommon to see something like the Kyubi still being inside Naruto's mindscape or whatever, and eventually having them share the body. Personally I do hope Kurama is still around, since I love his character, and feel he gets dealt the worst hand in canon, being enslaved, imprisoned, enslaved again, ripped in half, then imprisoned again. Right now I'm feeling he probably won't though, but *hoping* he will. Maybe eventually his soul will surface inside Naruto or something.

Anyways, I think this is already a pretty long review given the fic is only 8k words so far, so I'll stop there. Either way, I really love this story so far, and hope you continue it! I'm really excited to see how you move the story forward, how Konoha moves forward, and how Naruto moves forward, as they try to 'integrate' him into the village and the story itself. Looking forward to your next chapter!
