This makes me hurt so much! But it’s so needed. I wish they had addressed the trauma that should’ve come with this terrible experience. He deserves to heal, and you can’t heal without acknowledging the pain. I really felt his aching here. Well done!

Great and really well-written fic! I really like how you captured the weight of the Darklands on Jim, and how it would have affected him coming back. The show never quite went there, but your depiction is very in character and convincing :)
