Reviews for Thunder and Steel: The Masters of Evil
blazenite104 chapter 11 . 5/23
on the subect of killing, here's the thing. Superman represents the best of humanity. that is he will always find a way without it. that's his plot device. it's the superman narrative. besides bogging everything down with realism eventually get's to a point where you realise that the fantasy is impossible so why force the realism.

It's also why I find people going the killing people to be somehow more 'mature' to a terrible arguement. Humans don't really have such a disparate level of natural ability or technological development. that means killing is a sad reality of our world. realising that comics have such fantastical differences in ability between characters and technology means that having an out on the subject is generally a very reasonable thing. pretty much the only must kill enemy is Darkseid himself and for many reasons that always fails.

Not a criticism of the story. in fact it's a pretty good one and great by the standards of fanfics in general. I just find the whole arguement making things realistic to be a poor excuse. if you just want to develop characters that way, just do it. It works in the context of the story you tell.

Arrowverse Fan 217 chapter 24 . 2/24
Nice ending.

Loki, Zod and Amora got what they deserved.

Loved Clark and Lois reuniting.

Barry was right about Cisco.

Can't wait for the sequel whenever it comes out.

I am so excited for The Devil and the Daywalker.

Keep up the good work.
Guest chapter 24 . 2/23
You know, while this story is nice I really am excited for what you plan to do for the sequel of Heroes Stand United! Could maybe (and not to be pushy or anything) make an intro chapter of that just as a ‘Coming Soon’ story?
Guest chapter 24 . 2/22
Hey Author,

Seeing as you like Final Fantasy stories, I was going to recommend you read the fan-fiction story, "Final Fantasy VII: The Alter Project" by GigaBahamut. It's a story about what would happen if Zack Fair had survived being gunned down and participated in the main plot of Final Fantasy VII alongside Cloud and AVALANCHE; which, in turn, eventually gives him a chance to reunite with Aerith. Unfortunately, its been 9 years since that author updated that story and they haven't gone back to it since then for unknown reasons. Do you ever think that you could possibly write a story similar to that one someday? If so, I swear to you that would definitely read it.
Chaos Sorcerer chapter 24 . 2/22
And the short reign of the Mad God of Mischief Loki Laufeyson is brought to an end by the efforts of the Justice League and free people of the Nine Realms. Thor got the Odinforce, oh sweet lord of mercy, I pity whatever poor misguided fool tries to pick a fight with the God of Thunder now, if it was a cake walk before, now it’s going to be a massacre for the other guy. Thor was already one of the most powerful heroes, now he ascended to one of the most powerful beings in the universe. Can’t wait to see what he does with that power. Black Uru armored Superman, unexpected but not unwelcome. I’m with Lex, I would hope that change is permanent. Even if Superman was at his regular levels, he would’ve been up against a god with the Odinforce, Uru armor or not, Loki would bring the pain. I forgot the last thing Oliver did to Clark was shoot him and nearly betray him, at least he apologized. If Clark died…well he didn’t so let’s move on. Brief glimpse of what Lex and Clark’s relationship use to be like, I’m going to hate the moment the friendship/brotherhood between the two dissolves. Well he has people like Oliver and Thor to fill the void.

Would Thor’s appearance change when you do the sequel? Maybe give him Odin’s armor from the first movie or his armor from ‘Thor:TDW’ (I’m just thinking something with a bit of gold to show his ascended status). Since he has the Odinforce, I now assume that Thor has any and all powers that were once removed from him are now back? Will Oliver keep the Light Elf bow? What’s going on with Dr Fate/Kent? Would Thor start alternating between the Realms since he now has the Odinforce? Will Gorr the God-Butcher appears in this story? Maybe it happened offscreen and gives Thor much to think about, with what he said, his motivations and meeting his younger and older self.

Saw the Red Krytonite episode and I loved it. Red K Clark seems to me to have been way better than Red K Kara. One episode for each (so far) and Kara was self entitled with a progressively growing ego while Clark seems the rebellious teenager who is tired of being contained with his secrets and continued turn into the complete opposite of who he is. Red K Clark seems like the guy to go with to Las Vegas with and you’d paint the state red with. I knew that Chloe keeping the information about Clark’s adoption would come back to bite him in the ass, stupid move on her part and she went against Clark’s wishes even though she promised to stop digging. However, Clark bringing up Chloe’s mother went too far even if she was in the wrong. I was quickly starting to ship Clark and Kyla, you can see the sparks between them. But for the love of Christ, WHY DID THEY HAVE TO KILL HER OFF?! From cutting herself on glass?! Fuck Clana! The chemistry was right fucking there! Couldn’t have at least given her a few more episodes to see how a relationship between her and Clark could go, the bastards! I am not going to enjoy the ensuing shit storm I will have to endure. And maybe the fact Kyla could turn into a wolf which is my favorite animal also factored in but my point stands! Clark learning of his heat vision (one of my favorite optic powers, with Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan before it and Cyclops’ optic blasts after), was an especially humorous event. As Wilson Fisk once put it, Frank Castle has a gift when it comes to killing. Him dishing out punishment is always a joy, especially when it comes to disgraces such as Diaz, his death was deserved. The man can put the fear of God into anyone, first Chase and now Diaz. Nuke was a surprising addition to ‘the Devil and the Archer’ series, but I can’t really complain about having a fricking Terminator in your story. The “Fuck you, asshole.” bit got me. Plus, the heroes had superpowers on their side, obviously the bad guys would need an ace in the hole. Ha! That bit about Sam Witwer was actually pretty funny, if only he could’ve actually killed James, can’t blame Witwer’s character for hating him, who doesn’t? Although I’ll forever remember Witwer as Galen Marek/Starkiller. I’ll be starting to review ‘The Devil and the Daywalker’ so don’t worry pal, the conversations ain’t over yet. Great work as usual brother, can’t wait to see what else you have in store for this series, including the Odinson story which has me very excited. Take care now, bye bye then.
Guest chapter 24 . 2/21
Hey, out of curiosity, are you going to get back to that Jimmy Olsen vs. Jimmy Olsen fight from your other story?
Stand with Ward and Queen chapter 24 . 2/21
Great chapter and ending.

So Clark was Tony in this, nice.

Also nice references to EMH and the Smallville finale.

Oliver and Clark's reconciliation was nice as well.

Looking forward to future installments of this series.
adam199118 chapter 24 . 2/21
Once again, you have proven why you are one of the greatest fanfiction writers ever. Your skill, planning, and thought processing are second to none. It is good to see Thor being completely decisive and no longer exiling Loki. It was good to see Lex and Clark, their conversation gives me hope Lex might see the light, but that may never happen after all. A perfect ending to part 2. Looking forward to whatever else you will be writing. We salute you, Aragorn Elessar.
adam199118 chapter 23 . 2/21
I have no words, you are just nothing short of amazing. I enjoyed the heartfelt tributes for Oliver and Clark, they needed this to get them back into the fight.
adam199118 chapter 22 . 2/21
I am shedding tears, this is beautiful. The incorporation of all the realms here was well done.
adam199118 chapter 21 . 2/21
I have no words. This is beautiful. I am not surprised about Loki being the mastermind, reminds me of Black Zetsu.
adam199118 chapter 20 . 2/21
Another great chapter as always. The JSA was one of the highlights of Smallville. It was good to see former heroes come back into action after finally confronting their past and their losses. Icicle was never enough to take out an out of practice Fate, so I approve of your choices here. Off to read the next chapter.
