Rereading this for the…fourth time? I dunno, I keep reading it trying to get Spuffy out of my system so I can refocus on my own projects…anyway, point is, since I'm rereading this, I GET the part where she bites his lip and then gets cooler and delirious for a minute, and then after that the mention of her throat not hurting anymore - I notice it and I get it! It's so subtle, like, first-time readers would think it's just the sex that's cooling her off, but the timing is perfect and clearly deliberate. CLEVER, CLEVER! You're an amazing writer, really and truly! I'm not sure how the corrupted blood got in her throat in the first place, mind…but I mean, she doesn't remember the whole fight, and if there was blood everywhere, it's not unreasonable. So yeah. Clever writing, SUPER-clever! Bravo!

"Unless that was French for snails?" Cracks me the hell up every single time I read this. XD I like snails.

So, before I review, full disclosure: I have never actually seen this show, at all, not even one episode. An unrelated YouTube video led me to YouTube video of the song "Drawn to the Fire", which also led me to do a little browsing on Wikipedia, and that's all I've ever seen of this show's canon. But even that three-minute clip of that one song immediately got me invested in Spuffy, it's clear from the way he talks/sings about her for a total of maybe forty-five seconds that he adores her and hates it and I just FELT the ship instantly. But while I am invested in this ship, I am in no way qualified to attest to the plausibility of anything written for this franchise whatsoever, because I haven't seen the show. We clear? Good.

With that out of the way: this story was utterly delightful. It was funny, it had good buildup, it was sexy as all hell, and the story was really engaging for what it was. Like, when I get in the mood to look up smut on this site, I don't generally go for multi-chapter stories with a plot to them, yet even during the sexy parts of this one, by the end, I was really looking forward to seeing how the mini-story would resolve - I think at one point during the bath scene I actively thought "Yeah this is sexy, but I hope the plot about the hell queen person sees a resolution and doesn't just get tossed aside for the smut," which is pretty freaking amazing considering smut was all I came here for. Canonical plausibility aside (since I can't comment on that), as an author in general, sweetprincipale, you really have a talent, you know what you're doing and you execute it flawlessly, I couldn't have stopped reading if I tried. You COULD be a LITTLE clearer about what's going on during the sexy parts, there were times where I was left wondering if something had actually happened or not, but you were still plenty descriptive and the hot parts were definitely hot, so that's not TOO much of a complaint. For what it's worth coming from a total ignoramus to the actual canon, I say, well wrought, and bravo!

Awwww i love it love how it play out, got me worried a bit for spike and all but loved it all. I'm impatient and at the same time i wouldn't want it to end and be able to keep reading the story for chapter and chapters.
I thought giles were gonna have a heart attack, lets hope he doesn't walk in on something when the ice melt huhu

Just discovered this gem. Loving "out of it" Buffy. Buffy's dialogue is not only hilarious, at times it is very poignant. It's funny but at the same time suspenseful with Glory and hell freezing over. Great concept!

I'm rather surprised by Giles reaction.
So much potential for where this story could go!
