A beautiful ending to a story that carried with it strong themes of realistic hardships, strength and bravery. It was raw and painful to read the ordeal that Steve, Jeannie and Mike had to go through to reach the rainbow on the other side. It was sad envisioning Steve by Stephanie's graveside and having her exhumed so she could be brought home.
Now they can finally have that happy ending they deserved as family.

Finally Steve and Jeannie have found their way back to each other. With Steve apparently badly hurt again, will Jeannie stay true to her word and stand by him this time?

How sad for both of them. Very clever of Mike to figure out how to have Steve and Jeannie's paths cross once again. Hopefully they will find their way back to each other, although it seems as though Steve may be walking into yet another dangerous situation.

There was such a great deal of attention to detail in your story and it was so interesting to read of your vision for the future of Jeannie and Steve. Poor Steve Jeannine needs to change her mind and go back to him. Steve is very good at his job it shows what a good teacher Mike was and how Steve took it all in. At least Steve is still staying in contact with Mike.

I think that there is going to be some officers get hurt of worse with the lack of sleep as no one can go without sleep it will make there reactions slower. I hope nobody ends up dying.

Awwww Steve and Jeannie have another chance to be parents. Mike must be over the moon to be a grandfather! I had to chuckle at the thought of him picking up "his kids". He's always looked at Steve as part of his family.
