It's so great that you are back! I love your fics and this one certainly fills the gaps missing in ROTJ in a very dramatic and emotional way. I'm looking forward to the sequel Commited. And I really hope, you will load up your fic "Fair Fight" sooner or later, too!

Chewie is so awesome. He knows just how to push Han's buttons, and when. That's what I call talent.

I'm with Han. Mind you, I have always thought that Lando didn't have much of a choice, but even if that's the logical answer, when a friend betrays you, it's not easy to forgive or forget. Plus, for Han, it's like it just happened.

This is really well done. I can really feel Han's confusion and loneliness.

I really do like Rieekan, or at least fan fiction and EU Rieekan. The poor guy didn't get much screen time in the films.

You know, reading this again, I see things I don't think I did the first time. Although officially this is a story about Han waking up from his time in carbonite, I see that it's also about Han's friends waking up to the reality around them. Sometimes it's a new reality and sometimes it's just recognizing the reality of the person they were, but they all need to wake up if they are going to move forward.

This is a great look at Leia and how she is having to balance the demands of the Rebellion with her personal needs. What I like most is that it's clear that neither Leia nor High Command are used to Leia even having personal needs, so they don't know how to deal with things.

This story has always been one that tears my heart out in the best of ways, and I was so thrilled to see if revised and republished. This, and Committed after it, presents PTSD and trauma in a way that is redeemable and refined. Han is human and somehow still superhuman for how he handles the Endor mission with this story as a backdrop. I have loved this story for years and it still packs a punch. Thank you so much for this read and for returning to us the art that we have missed so much.
