I've just finished the story and I must say, this was horribly fascinating to read. on one hand, I hated Maliss, on the other hand, the dark attraction is morbidly alluring. I'm not happy with how I reacted, considering that by all accounts how he acts is abusive and I would break had I been in Haru's shoes, but Maliss did slightly grow on me. not by much, mind you, but enough that I wished he turned over a... more... honest... life style. yeah. I wished Haru and he could have a better outcome, but I had to agree that he took too many lives and that is, indeed, inexcusable.
as always, you have a gift. I love it, I live to breath your stories. my sister certainly love your stories and may not recover like I.
I said this many times, but you're the only reason I still remain in this fandom. You've turned Baron to be the ideal man. cat. Mancat. My sister declared him to be the love of her life. The only unfortunate part of this deal is now finding men in real life terribly lacking. even those we consider close. They can never compare.

This was a really fun fic to read! I like the twist at the end of Haru using something other than the poker cos she' and uses strategy. Even on the fly. This was fun and dramatic and I enjoyed every moment of jt.

Also, I vote 3, because mysterious boxes are a weakness of mine.

OKAY. honestly? i loved the hero twist. having just rewatched HMC i actually squeaked a little when you mentioned Howl, btw, and poor Sophie. this is one of your best yet and you can't believe how glad I am that Baron isn't just Maliss after all. seriously, the only things on my mind right now are keysmashes of happiness and squees at Haru's badassery. (I love when people let Haru be badass. it's great.)

About the original idea for this story, I was hoping for that as well, but I understand that he was too far gone for it to work. It would have been nice, thou, I love villains redeemed by love. Theyre so cute when their evil is over.

I really do love that Haru has her pottential happily ever after, with Baron being alive, because I was so scared that she would end up too traumatized to do anything but live with 100 cats.

In retrospective, living with the horned wolfs (tamed) and the servants wouldnt be too bad, hadnt Baron been alive to love her. I hope they take the gargoyles off the walls before burning the palace.

And Wukong, now I get the shitting reference. And completely back it up. I vote for option 3, but would it be too much to ask for a oneshot of his visit to Haru's hometown? I will be forever curius as to how Sakura took the news of Haru being kidnapped by Maliss, she seemed like a good girl. And I can only imagined she wouldnt (neither the rest of the villagers) be happy about continuing the wedding the same day. And then I can only imagine Machida's mother insisting... I hope you consider making a one shot!

As for the option 3, it sounds so cute. I like the other two, mind you, but it holds a lot of mystery too!

This is getting long, I just wanted you to know, that I loved this story and you got me hanging at every word of yours. I do believe the story you mention has potential, then again, you are my favourite author and you can do no wrong in my eyes. My husband's ears are bleeding from the times you post a new chapter or answer a review, my squeeling gets too high.

I love your stories no matter what you choose to post. I really am sorry to see this story end but i started laughing at the lists of princesses when i realized i knew some of them. I agree that Mononoke one would have just kept trying to kill him. She wouldnt have stopped for anything.

I’m a huge fan of your work. You always have a strong idea and your storytelling has grown a lot since My Feline Gentleman. I wish that you had told the last chapter from Haru’s present perspective instead of Haru and Baron telling the general populace what happened. It was really hard for me to read. I thought I missed a chapter at first and then I wanted to skip to where we left off last time. I thought it was interesting in your notes when you mentioned a beta noticing the reduced quality. Some of my favorites came after Truth but I’ve noticed a dip in your last couple of stories. A weakness I have noticed recently is you have your characters laughing at jokes that you wrote. It feels self congratulatory like ‘aren’t I so funny to have Haru throw ashes’? But I honestly loved this story a lot. After the last chapter I wasn’t sure if we were finishing up or if that was act one. Thank you for writing this and giving me something to look forward to. Time to start the reread!

What a marvelous ending for a great story. I would probably go for the second choice, I always been a sucker for soulmates story. Although any choice would be fine in my opinion.

I wasn't too far off on the ash, but I never even thought about the bucket! I'm very proud of Haru for being so clever. And oh, what fun Baron and Haru are going to get up to after this, I can guess they're going to be wild and maybe a bit manic about enjoying their freedom, but they deserve it. A very satisfying finish to this story! Thank you for sharing.

Oh ho! The monkey king! Okay, that makes all the pee comments suddenly make perfect sense. And here I thought that was the dragon speaking. XD

Oh wow, that's better than I could have imagined, ahh! Okay, so the voices make a lot of sense now, and yay, there will be real Haru/Baron, but in the future, when they've recovered and can move on. And Haru's got a magic mirror now, so that's awesome. I feel so sorry for the poor suitors and brides, especially Howl since it wasn't even Maliss kidnapping Sophie that did him in. That said, I love Haru's threats against that King who took Sophie, and yes, he better beware the poker.

All in all, Thirteen is a wonderful little ride, and I love how different it is from what you might expect. A great job as always, YC!

As for what to see next, I want more Soulmates, and I want to see what's in the box, so decisions decisions. Just kidding, I'll go for Soulmates every time.
