What are theses dreams?! I just KNOW they mean something lol but what exactly omg the suspense! Like who was this unknown figure? A man, a woman? Is it someone obvious like Damon or another vampire? Oh, what if it's her dead dad? Idk man I just hope Claire's able to get some good sleep lol these nightmares are creepy!
And I might probably be reading too much into things but could Cicero maybe be something more? I'm thinking more like a familiar is to a witch?... Either way, I would protect this precious little kitty with all my heart!
And lol that one blond student was me in my art class- my Virgo energy wanted everything to be perfect, I could never just sit back and relax while drawing! I love the relationships she has with the other teachers too, it just makes the story feel more real and it's a clever way to tie in with what's happening in the show without having to rehash it- like them chatting about Stefan joining the football team.
Also, I'm really enjoying the friendship between Jenna and Claire!
It's nice to see Claire's mind working, too, noticing the strange scarf on Caroline and questioning how a wild animal could've attacked Tanner at the game. It makes me wonder, and excited for, how she will discover that vampires and the other supernatural creatures exist!
And oh shit, her nightmare! I guess it was a "vision" of his death then! My favorite part of this was definitely everything that followed after the football game! My god, it was so fun to follow Claire as she did some digging of her own on the mysterious animal attacks! It was nice to see a little into her family too! And like the subtlety in which you introduced Logan was perfect! AND AHDKFLSLKA DAMON! I SWEAR THESE TWO HAVENT EVEN MET PROPERLY AND I'M ALREADY FREAKING OUT ABOUT THEM! Honestly this is such a beautiful story you have written, it's been so long since I felt this way about a tvd oc fic! I can't wait to know what you have planned for Claire!

Okay this might sound weird but I love this mature feel to the story- especially in this chapter as we followed Claire and got more interactions with the adult characters of the show. I don't know how to describe it but I love the simple yet elegant tone of your writing! That scene where she was waltzing in the dark and she got a tingling sensation that someone was watching her- omg was that Damon watching her? lol even if it wasn't, I couldn't help but imagining him doing so :)

Okay, without even reading a word yet from the actual story, I am officially a fan! I couldn't help but check out the wiki page right away and just- wow! the dedication you've put into this story is amazing and I'm super excited to dive right in!

I love the aesthetic feel of the introduction, it really sets up an image of Claire's typical morning. And I would seriously love to actually have her as my teacher lol at how she made her class go outside. Oh and what a nice and interesting way of introducing Damon, too! It would be like him to be standing there watching lol

And omg the next scene where she finds the kitty (I'm such a cat person btw and I couldn't help my heart just busted out uwu's lmao)! It was hilarious though, I actually didn't make the connection of who Claire was talking about until she told her the kitty was a month old smh I really thought it was Damon. But either way same Claire same; I'm also in love with the adorable Cicero!

Okay mysterious and ambiguous dream... I see you... And I'm wondering- wait, is it like a vision she's unknowingly having of like Vicki being attacked later? Omg am I on to something or just reaching lol

It's an amazing first chapter for sure! I loved the conversation between Grams and her at the end, it's going to be heartbreaking when she dies though- but I hope we get to see more of their friendship!

Kitty! Sorry, I love the inclusion of a kitty. haha. I'm really curious about her nightmares. I know you'll tell us eventually (don't worry I won't force you for answers now, but I will ponder my questions in this review haha) What's up with Claire's nightmares? Does she have some sort of supernatural connection too? I'm just so curious! Again, I'm really enjoying Claire's friendship with Jenna. It's so natural. Also, I like that Jenna has someone because she was obviously dealing with stuff too while trying to raise teenagers. I love how intelligent Claire is and how you're having her suspicious of things and beginning to piece them together. SO wonderful!

First, I love the somewhat "outside" perspective that Claire has about some things. Like her perspective feels fresh despite me being familiar with TVD (it's been a while, but still mostly familiar. haha) OMG! Is it weird that I was getting anxiety FOR Claire as far as the Lockwood parent/teacher conference? Ugh. Like, what if she hadn't yet prepared anything or thought of things...but no, it's always the parents' convenience. Don't get me wrong, but ugh. (Sorry venting...I'm dealing with parent boundary issues right now if you couldn't tell haha) I'm really enjoying Claire and Jenna's friendship so far. Gah! I love how you're making Claire a part of the "adult" world in this fandom. You make it work so easily and effortlessly! (or so it seems haha)

This was so interesting. Definitely a take I don't think I've ever seen before in this fandom. I love the whole teacher aspect of Claire, but then again, that might be because I am one. haha. Also, that blue-eyed thing that stole her heart. ;) haha. YES! Teacher and cat-lady. You could almost be describing me. haha. I also really like the friendship Claire seems to have with Sheila. It's very comforting to see. Also, I know that you have someone else for your faceclaim, but I can't help but picture Miss Honey from Matilda in my head as Claire. haha. I just thought it was funny and wanted to share that tidbit.

Ok, so my is that Claire descends from a family of witches since her whole family seems tuned into astronomy. Though I guess that could hold true for werewolves/were-creatures, too. Especially considering something happened to her grandparents. I like that we're going to get more of Jenna and Shelia in your story. I really liked them and was sad when they were killed off so early in the show (Shelia would've been great during all the Klaus return).

I picked your story for the Review Exchange. I'm interested to see your fix-its for seasons 6 and beyond (soooo many potholes there). For now, I can't wait to find out what Claire's connection to the supernatural is (is she something or just a believer?).

Also please keep the kitten safe in Mystic Falls.

One of the advantages to having a cat; when you have a bad dream, furry baby's there. All warm and soft and real. I knew these dreams would matter; but now they're making their way into her waking hours - to where her students are noticing.

What are these?

My theory? Keep in mind, just a theory . . . suppressed memories. Not necessarily something compelled away - but they don't "feel" like visions. I really think her mind is trying to remember something.

As far as girl's night go, that one wounded divine. Under the Tuscan Sun, Carbonara, wine, friends just chilling over dinner and a movie. And of course, a kitten. I would have loved to be there with them.

This chapter was absolutely fascinating. So much information delivered and nowhere did it feel like an info-dump. Claire does have history with vampires, or at least her ancestry does. Her grandparents had noticed a pattern, too, and that observation will ignite Claire's own curiosity.
