I love this story! Will Ash catch a Larvesta or a Joltik in the near future? Can Yellow gain the confidence to confess to Ash and succeed in recieving affections? Will Ash become the Pokémon Master he wants to be? Will Vix ever stop getting Ash muddy?

I don't think I've ever read a story where Ash gets a predominantly bug type team. Will definitely be interested to see what his team ends up as down the ROAD. Maybe a heracross and the honorary bug type, flygon? I agree with others that giving a little more backstory to how the pokemon you introduce that come from outside the Kanto/Johto regions would go a long way. I hardly ever seen yellow introduced into stories, and I think this is the first with snom, so very intererested in the premise. The only real criticisms I would have its difficult to read a protagonist who's so openly antagonistic to those with more experience. As for the antagonists (Gary), never been a huge fan of making him an unlikable asshat but I'll keep reading because I'm interested in the premise. Also just a suggestion, but I would suggest that you break up fights a bit more, one long paragraph isn't the greatest method of transcribing a fight scene. I also have a story that I just started writing so of you could read and review that would be great!

Promising story so far, I can see similarities between this and Traveller which you mentioned was an inspiration. As others have mentioned, I think it'd be wise to flesh out the origins of the non-native Kanto pokemon, something like a phone call with Oak about Snom and mentioning Fletchinder too. Might be a straggler from a migration, grown strong from feeding on all the bugs in Kanto who're unsuited to a Fire/Flying in the weaker routes. Just a little something to make it more believable rather than an attempt at giving Ash the authors favourite pokemon.
Not sure if you've read it but Game of Champions by Lamora was always a good fic too, discontinued and deleted but others have uploaded it with their blessing.

I personally hope you don't pick Scyther as the strong Pokemon mentioned. It's to overused. Maybe something different like a Durant, Venipede or a battle-hungry Ledyba/Ledian with Iron Fist and loves to punch things.

i love this story.
one of the main good things about it is the depth of the characters you give the Pokemon.
although i do hope you don't give ash too many Pokemon.
in most of the good stories like traveler, pinnacle and challenger ash doesn't have too many Pokemon which made them so great.
and i absolutely love vix so far.

Again another good chapter.
I like Vix’s prankster personality but Frost and Zephyr need their own as well.
I noticed 2 inconsistencies: Nurse Joy said it was 2 nights from the Rocket attack and Wes said it was the night after. Then later Giovanni gave Ash Mud-slap but during the battle with Barry you called it Mud shot.

Pretty good start. You’re a better writer than you give yourself credit for.
If you do decide to do a full “non Kanto” team come up with good reasons for how/why he gets them. Why did Oak have a Snom, where did Fletchling come from? These questions should be given a real and logical answer.

I hope to see shuckle on the team eventually, given that attacks like gyro ball and rollout can shield pokemon from enemy attacks, if this is like the anime on that front, a power trick shuckle would be effectively untouchable against anything not substantially higher "level" and give it stone edge to make launch ramps and you have the hilarious image of a shuckle fighting flying types by turning the battle field into a skate park and shooting itself into the air repeatedly would also be funny to have gyro ball turn a water field into a vortex and drain the field while knocking out whatever water type is pulled into the center of the attack and that would get a hilarious response if used against Misty/any water gym.

Thought it had potential but I'm finding Ash super unlikable. He didn't have any growth character wise from the severe injury he experienced either, he was just as arrogant after, even seeming to think himself better than a trainer with a decade of experience who also works for the league. The pokemon choices were interesting though, it does seem like he's getting way too many free hand outs though. Overall not a bad story, the quality of the writing itself is fine the characters and pacing aren't great though
