Incredible story!

Wow! Just found this now, and it’s amazing! If there is any chance for Disney to fix their humongous blunder of killing off Ben Solo (and if Adam Driver is willing to go back to the role, even in some semblance), this is it! You have the feel for the characters, wonderful, thoughtful plot, good mix of romance, action, and Force philosophy, and overall great writing style! Please keep writing! I see it’s been three months since your last update, so I sincerely hope you are okay and that you will come back to this! And I hope that someone at Disney is paying attention as well! (I truly love you Disney, but aren’t you supposed to make us cry tears of joy not tears of sorrow?) So please please please keep on with this work. In the aftermath of the heartbreaking ending of TRoS, the ongoing/never ending COVID upheaval, and the pain and discord (for lack of a better term) that our society is currently going through, we so need this smart, plausible, healing relief that your story and writing provides. Gen X Lady Jedi (Star Wars obsessed for decades—long before the word “fangirl” existed and when girls weren’t supposed to be “into” Star Wars...)

PS - I don't know how I feel about Drakka yet and am interested to see where you take this... I understand they need students... but Ben and Rey have apart for 3 years! Maybe a little more than 2 days alone would have been nice!

OMG... I'm praying that Ben is back permanently! I love your attention to deal the way you have expressed Rey's emotions... it had me annoyed at Finn, even though I know that he is her friend and only wants the best for her, I was disappointed and annoyed at him for dismissing her feelings as if they were nothing... and was moving to see Ben and Rey's love is still as strong - even after 3 years apart, and that he was also doing everything to get back to her. I can't wait to see where you take the story next... and hoping for some smut!

Thank you for this story! I cannot wait to see where it goes next! I am cautiously optimistic about Ben being back, and I hope he is here to stay. If I may be so bold, a tad bit of smut in the future chapters would not go unappreciated. Happy writing!

Awwww. LOVE LOVE LOVE this! My face broke into the widest grin when I read the last part of the chapter. Yay, I'm so happy he's back! You built up the suspense really well! I felt so broken-hearted when Finn was talking to Drakka and then when Rey was planning to die. And omg I was NOT expecting the twist at the end! I felt an overwhelming sense of relief and happiness. I loved that your writing made me feel the emotions behind the text so deeply! Really well done! I'm so looking forward to seeing where this goes from here!

I've really enjoyed this! I'd never thought of Rainer Maria Rilke's poetry as being compatible with Star Wars but in many ways Kylo/Ben is a descendant of romantic heroes (as is Rey to a certain extent) and though Rilke's time was a bit later, he still drew influence from the romantic poets. So there is a more or less direct literary connection there.

But now to you fic: Rey's frustration at being prevented from making her own choices, knowing that these were originally made without having full knowledge of their consequences is really relatable. It's not just as case of others judging her actions morally, but her actions actually having a devastating impact on a much bigger scale. But her strong intuition that she and Ben are part of something new and different and that their being together might result in harmony rather than destruction is really in keeping with her character and so very well written by you. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

And on a different note: COVID-19 is a threat, but threats like this are what human storytelling is born from. We, as a species, need to tell stories to keep our minds healthy. So thank you for telling this story and I hope that the telling of it is something you can hold onto and that will help you stay grounded among the mayhem.
