Oh my gosh I love this story so much! I’m so glad to see more of it! There’s just something so cathartic about this story, even though seeing what actually happened to Donnie at the Yokai Mart broke my heart! But it was nice because he still had understanding family and even strangers who were willing to help (even if his brother punched the stranger later oops but tbh it was a very Leo moment and I loved it)
And his discussions with both Splinter and Leo this chapter were so so sweet and needed! God I loved this so much! Thanks for sharing more of it! (Also it won’t let me review on chapter 4 for some reason so hopefully this goes through..)

it's a very good story, leo and donnie are brilliant and i liked how you included autism into the story as it was realistic.

Gosh, this story is really good. As somebody without a confirmed diagnosis, I always found the judgement associated with the word autism the worst to deal with. You're made to feel other, while you so desperately want to feel close to others, but there's just something making that more difficult than you would like to. And there feels to be so much judgement glued onto inability to communicate the "correct" way, that once the cat's out of the bag, it feels almost hopeless to even try to.

It's so frustrating. The word labels you as different. People look and treat you differently because of it. You're instantly secluded off as other, as inable and there's this air of cautiousness that's just so isolating. You want to be like everybody else, you want to connect, but all your attempts are cast off as strange. The clove gets emphasized for whenever you try and it's a maddening experience. It's very lonely, constantly being aware how much you differentiate from the norm, how it's an impossible feet to be treated as equal, as a competent person. You will always be the kid with autism, even though you don't like that image of yourself, being branded as broken and helpless to change it.

But I think you're doing a wonderful job translating this feeling. Leo is trying his best, but by being so determined to be his older brother's caretaker, he's taking away his identity and replacing it with something fragile. I really really love, how've you've written this issue until now, and how grounded and nuanced it feels. The dynamic that has been build between the brothers feel realistic without there being any malicious intentions when it focuses on the conflict between them. I'm curious how you're planning to build on all of this further. Thank you for writing!

What! This had better not be a one shot. The family culture contains an intriguing combination of crying yet mocking each other for crying. What triggered Donnie years ago, and what is triggering him now, and how will Leo/Splinter comfort him? I am none too familiar with rot so apologies if I should already know these answers.
