It's a damned shame Padme is NEVER again mentioned in the sequels. Never mind that she and Ani were married secretly; the creators of this new trilogy could have offered something creative, so maybe it was lack thereof, but who are we to judge?

This is a perfect explanation as to how she died, indeed. :D I never would have thought of that, but you did, and it feels you could have been one of those to give a better line to the final film.
