What a wonderful story! So very well written and the characters are so much in line. This is one of the best AYITL conclusions I've ever read and I think it's also one of the best.
It's a good idea that you ignore the infamous last words completely.
I would be very happy to read part 2. Maybe you will fulfill my wish someday...

After such a beautifully written, lovely story, I feel like my comments are inadequate to do it justice. The characters’ emotions you so brilliantly created seem to take their story to the place not reached in AYITL. You definitely gave Rory and Logan the future they always deserved and created the perfect time for them to begin to live that future. The supporting cast added the perfect flavor. I wish I could express as eloquently as many of your reviewers just how lovely this story was. It was exceptionally well written, almost poetically. I was a Biology teacher and really did not like English...if I did I could use a better word than "poetically." I'm not even sure that's a word. (I did have my students write in Biology class and I was a stickler about grammar and construction.) Your story was well researched and had so many interesting details. I just loved it! It gave me so much pleasure today rereading it and reading Ch. 4 for the first time. Stay safe. I hope you write more GG fiction!

I love this story. I love the abruptness of it, but also the familiarity of it. That Rory can let go, and just follow what's before her, yet, not fall completely into the abyss. I want them back together, and I think they are on the way. Logan's explanation of why he stayed with Odette rang so true, and the reason for Paul sounds just like Rory. Well done!
