TheWriterOfTruth chapter 1 . 1/22
Dang dude, I haven't seen either of the movies in years, but yeah even when I saw MU as a kid I thought his character was so bizarrely unsatisfying to watch. Seeing him go from being a decent person to a bitter soul because everyone treated him like dogshit xD Good story, gonna check out your other stuff.

This was great :)

Yeah, it's too bad that Randall and Mike's relationship couldn't have been fixed with some way like this. But then, we had the original movie first, and not everyone knew what was behind Randall's possible history to make him act mad and like a villain. I love him too.

Just a say, Mike's last name is spelled: Wazowski. You just miss the second w.

Johnny and his friends were big meanies anyway.
Cheycartoongirl8 chapter 1 . 12/28/2019
If the movie came out after MU, this should've been put in. We barely had any scenes with Randall in MU and what happened between him and Mike didn't get to be explored enough. The experience that Randall went through after Mike and Sulley got expelled is exactly how I picture it. Alot people, including myself expected Randall to be redeemed in the first movie but it never happened. And then what happened with the prequel made it even more believable that it should've happen.

But nope. He's a reptile. He's gotta be evil. That was all Disney's fault. I read that Pixar didn't want to make Randall a villain, but Disney made them. There was too much evidence in the movies that Randall isn't evil. He was pawn. He's always been the pawn. Whether it was Johnny using him for the Scare Games, or Waternoose using his ideas to keep his company afloat. In the future I hope they redeem our favorite little lizard. He needs some much needed love. He deserves it.

Great story!

Damn, this story... My, it was very tough and emotional, just reading the scenes where Randall expresses his true feelings, it really goes to show that he really isn't all bad after all, he only became bad because of what happened in the past, what ruined him and made him the crazy physhopath shown in Monster's Inc. His life was pretty much ruined, and tried to become better when he was working at Monster's Inc. Of course, no one, not even Waternoose noticed him. I agree with you too, when looking back at the two movies, the MU goes to show what really happened to Randall, he didn't deserve to be treated unfairly, he just was trying to be a great monster, and show to all, that he's not just a failure. I would of wanted to help him too, no one deserves to go down that road, no one.

A really great and impactful story my friend, it was really strong and bold!
