Reviews for Lincoln & Kat: A Year in the Life (season 1)
Timbuk1 chapter 7 . 6/23
The painting arc was shorter than the geography arc from Lincoln Gets Limber, but it will do. Keep up the good work, Chance. ;)
Timbuk1 chapter 6 . 6/23
A brilliant chapter for a sorting out, like those many chapters of Lincoln Gets Limber. I like where this is going.
Timbuk1 chapter 5 . 6/15
A brilliant chapter that would disguise the identities but still give us obvious hints, as well as take some creative liberties for the headcanon and give Lincoln his own couch and TV for his bedroom. Kind of unexpected, but keep up the good work, Chance. There could be potential for this. :)
Alexpv22 chapter 4 . 6/14
This was a really fun chapter, I especially loved the "conditions" Kat's parents set up for the sleepover. For a moment, I half expected Mr. Ketchum to say something like "no funny stuff;" like most father figures say in media.

On a side note, I wonder if Kat's family IS rich? Part of me thinks Jordan might be loaded, considering the size of her home and her big pool parties
364wii chapter 4 . 6/9
Man, Lori being very protective and Lincoln saying I love you to his sisters is very new to me. Why isn't this in the show?
Timbuk1 chapter 4 . 6/8
This might be added to one of my favorite bonding chapters. Really good job. And now that I have read this after having read enough chapters of Lincoln Gets Limber that involved Lincoln and Girl Jordan working on a history or geography project involving Italy, an arc has started for this story that could last maybe three or more chapters. Keep it up, Chance. :)
Alexpv22 chapter 3 . 5/21
This is a good first step for them...let's just hope their path in friendship runs smoothly
Alexpv22 chapter 2 . 5/21
If Kat has a chauffeur, her family must be loaded; at least...within THIS continuity.

Makes me wonder if Girl Jordan's also financially successful, considering the kind of parties she throws
Alexpv22 chapter 1 . 5/21
While it hasn't been made canon within the series...yet, imagine how surprising it would be if Linc and Kat DID share the same birthday?

This would mostly prove mildly shocking to the latter because of the...mild animosity she seems to have towards him (at the moment)
echo009 chapter 3 . 3/20
Good chapter, you really captured the loneliness both of them felt, and how much they both wanted to be friends inspite of their pasts. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter!
SirRavenMacbeth chapter 3 . 3/20
Great work as always. Can't wait for the next chapter. _
Prince of Pop chapter 2 . 3/19
I love how Kat reacts when Lincoln told her that he had 10 sisters. Priceless. Can’t wait for more soon.
echo009 chapter 2 . 3/15
Good chapter I really liked their first meeting. Only criticism is constantly referring to Kat as the blue haired lass starts to feel really repetitive, and it really jumps out at you. Maybe change it up so ots not so repetitive. Still I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
SirRavenMacbeth chapter 2 . 3/15
Nice to see this all at once. It all went together nicely and I look forward to the next chapter. _
Sheepsquatch chapter 1 . 12/24/2019
Well now, this is quite interesting. Always lovely to see a writer so passionate about their undertakings, and it's quite nice to see minor background characters get a little love as well.
As for the story, a serviceable enough beginning I'd say. The layout is a bit, admittedly, difficult to follow at times with the periodic line breaks and shifting perspectives, but I believe this can be pulled off so long as you put a bit more meat between these breaks. I'm of course speaking of detail and the like, describing the environment and all its goings-on, the peoples and their habits, just a bit more to paint a picture and to give a little weight, to really let us get a feeling for Lincoln and Kat's respective perspectives. Not saying you aren't of course, but just a little more might go a long way in truly filling out a chapter with necessary info.
The tinnitus is an interesting development, and though this is an AU I can see this Lincoln isn't quite so different from his canon persona that he seems a different character entirely, merely a different look at a familiar face which is comforting as too severe a diversion usually proves jarring. Kat is, of course, wonderful, though it's not as if she has a canon personality to compare to but I can see you've made her your own, so good on you on that front.
And on that note, might I just say I'm absolutely delighted to hear that something I wrote served as inspiration for you! It means very much to hear something like that and I thank you for your kind words and wish you the best of luck in all your ventures.
I hope I was succinct in my review and that I was able to provide desirable and moreover essential comment and critique, and just know that I'll be eagerly following for future developments!
