Oh it's a shame you're canceling this, I thought it was really fun. It had potential! Obviously, though, you should do whatever you feel is best.

It's not too bad of a start (I didn't think Draculaura was adopted, though), and you're reasonably good with the language, so it's easy enough to read (good job, by the way-reading ease makes a huge difference to a lot of people). Here's 3 points you need to look at, 1 you need to address in this chapter and future ones, one which is both a viable question and a point you'll likely need to adapt, and one which you will need to fill in an answer for, just not necessarily in this chapter.

Immediate address: Draculaura is vegetarian and wouldn't have anything to do with blood or meat (she faints at the sight, and sometimes mention, of blood or meat, so this is no recent 'choice'-she just can't handle it and never has been able to), and I never saw anything in the series indicating she ever ate seafood (like shrimp) unless it was kelp.

Question and address: Um...What year is this happening in? Because Victor Frankenstein was around 17-18 (maybe older) in 1814, when Monster High supposedly first opened, so I don't think he'd still even be alive (he's just a mad scientist, and human, not an actual long-lived monster) after 1914...

Needs to be filled in soon: As for her father becoming mayor...I really think you need a reason for why they chose HIM and not some other monster who already lived in New Salem. What about him or his life made him the best option? You actually have a ready-made reason, you just need to have the two guys who chose him point it out to him, which they didn't in this chapter when he asked what made him even an option.
