I’m an old man who just became acquainted with H/HG fan fiction. I relate to Harry, I went through school not knowing rules or personal relationships and suffered for it the rest of my life. Reading stories from viewpoints other than the disaster JKR left me with has taught me what I wish I had known 65 years ago. I could have had some Hermione In my life way back then, but wouldn’t have recognized it at all. Totally hate Ron - even him holding her hand is too much. (Or Terry too.)
