Just a little more involvement with the story and a bit more description and this would be absolutely perfect ) But you are pretty close, so don't sweat it. |

That would have been pretty cool ) And again, more description would have been nice... Like perhaps what Hitomi's room looks like. Is it all dark and gloomy like a cave or did Van try to make it nice for her? And didn't Van fall in love with her for her beauty? I would like to see some descriptions of a love-struck Van and what he sees in Hitomi, maybe... It's still a wonderful re-telling though ) |

This seemed a little bit rushed and exactly like story telling, not story experiencing. Don't get me wrong, I did like it, I just wish that you had expanded on the story a little. You know, made it a couple of chapters long and explore the feelings of the characters a little more. Keep it up though ) |

| Sapphirefly chapter 10 . 3/9/2006 Rushed? Hmm ... well, it could have been more rushed than it was. Everything in the story moved at a pretty fast pace, so it matched. All in all, I think you did a pretty good job. Although, I have to say again that it was majorly lacking in description. Have you ever read 'Til we Have Faces' by C.S. Lewis? That's a retelling of the Cupid and Pschye myth - that's got description. You might find that interesting. Check it out - definitely. |
