Yay, another 2 chapters together, and they are both awesome.

Ok, I'll admit it. The thing I'm looking forward to the most (even more than that glorious moment when Alexandria breaks down and gives Pixie-chan a Name) is the exact instant when all the little clues that Alexandria has been overlooking or dismissing come together in her mind and realizes that Dresden's raggedy old overcoat that she has been so disdainful of probably beats out a lot of her old world's tinkertech. And not just the fabrics. What can I say, it is the little things along the way that make the journey worthwhile.

Though it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the rest of the wardrobe supplied to her has similar magical durability tricks, with a couple extras woven in. Like tracking and eavesdropping spells, just as an example.

Huh... so some have gotten some reads on her though obviously not clear, and they probably wouldn't be able to comprehend the shard since trying such a thing typically drives observers insane or some variation thereof.

Then there's me, that guy in the back who's like, "Uh, Alexandria was a terminal cancer patient from another earth. Her mother was unlikely to still be alive let alone present on Earth Bet by the time of Alexandria's death, given she was likely somewhere around her mid twenties when she got her powers and it's been around thirty years since then. Which means Alexiandria is at the very least in her late forties, but more likely mid fifties when she gets offed by Skitter; and while I admit that would likely 'only' put her mother age somewhere in the range of seventies to eighties, that's some long odds of her still being alive."

Then of course, I proceed to get slapped for breaking SoD and not nodding alone like an eidgit. How dare I use logic instead of conforming to tropes and popular media.

Politics are always hard to put in a way different than the original because the subject is so difficult for most, that many authors tend to make them as precise as they can, so everyone can understand them without knowing the politicians. (Unless there is a hidden plot, then it's just politics.)
