Yeah, a tear jerker. But it is definitely worrying to see him denying his grief in favor of just moving forward. Hopefully, he'll cave in before it causes him to shatter at a truly tragic time. We definitely know he won't do in front of his people.

I feel that you did a great job in showing what Toru's grief - I agree, he totally needs more hugs. I really enjoyed reading your stories. Your writing style and the way that you bring each character to life really captured me. I actually finished all 4 books and the in between stories over the course of a day. Whoops. (Ehh who cares about productivity anyway?) I also love the way that you portray ANBU, and stuff like mission reports in the behind the scenes parts of Konoha's administration. Yay! Uzushio is returning! I really missed actually reading about Toru though, so I'm looking forward to when he reappears. (Though, isn't a year 365 days, not 375? Why is the order swapped for 376 and 373?) The humor is small and subtle but very well represented. And there is nothing that says you HAVE to write out a scene in full, rather than in summary (one example is how you did, it could just as easily have been them talking about it over food with friends or something). I did love the Skua's reaction to Tsunade's reaction, though.

Heh, Jiraiya should feel tossed upside down. Honestly even if you believe in predestination, you can't prove or disprove them so you have no idea if your decisions matter or not, but you still have to live with the consequences of them regardless.
