| Guest chapter 2 . 1/29 Honestly I only recently watched and read the manga myself but I feel connected to the characters and this really hit hard. I rarely have cried in many years bu this is what did it for me. Just the thought of Yui, the one who was always cheerful being depressed and attempting suicide hurts like nothing else. Just the way everyone reacts makes it so visceral and I really feel the emotion coming through and it made me cry multiple times even on my 3rd reread. What really makes it for me is the fact that depressed people can be just like this in reality, hiding their true emotions behind a facade and then things can come crashing down all at once leaving people to wonder if they truly knew them. You hear it all the time but reading this with characters you know and are attached to really drove it home for me since I’ve never actually experienced it myself. Keep up the amazing work, your writing is fantastic and your characterization is spot on imo. I’m hopeful that they can help Yui because this is heartbreaking |
