Although I could do without the strange author's notes, this made me laugh out loud. I have to wonder, though, if you've ever cooked a turkey. No turkey anywhere says, cook at 500 degrees. Buffy, an intelligent woman, would've read the directions and saw that the temperature was NOT that. Great Thanksgiving tale!
