This is a powerful story! I know it's been said many times, but if these guys would just TALK to one another so many misunderstandings could be avoided. It seems they have no problem talking when they're angry or hurt, but they need to talk when they're sorry or afraid and need comfort. I loved the way this "conversation" from Sam came about - poor Cas would have no idea what he was really doing when he repeated Sam's words verbatim. This was a very hard time between these boys because they both made mistakes, errors in judgment. I really loved the way you showed how they can "get through" to one another. Oh I loved this! I seriously loved this time for the brothers. The painful avoidance and sad loneliness Dean was subjected to and the all consuming anger and betrayal Sam felt were so painful to watch. I'm sick, I am aware, but you seem to get it too so... thank you for sharing!

Okay that gave me all kinds of feeling . It's great mix of angst , humor ( I laughed when Cas started repeating what sam had said exactly, not that it lasted longer , just few seconds later and I had tears ) , brother banter , and brotherly love and loyalty .

I liked not knowing it was Dean to start with - just pain, and disorientation, and then Sam. The way he kept asking, and how information was given over and over, but Dean couldn't remember. I'd forgotten that Cass could use other's voices, and could just hear Cass tell Dean all the deathbed confessions. This was wonderful, and such a great story.
Forgot MoC was 10th season, and was trying to fit this story in 9th. Until the whole demon thing reminded me. *Shakes head* Again, loved it!

Finally got a chance to do some catching up on reading fics that posted the last few days. This was wonderful. Dean getting to hear all those things that Sam would never say to his face was SO needed. Now I wish there was some way for Sam to hear all the stuff Dean would never say to HIM unless he thought he couldn't be heard. (Ya know, because God forbid these guys ever actually TALK TO EACH OTHER about this stuff when they're both conscious, LOL!)

I also would have loved to read this from Sammy's POV!

Aww, this was the best! I appreciate how you flushed out the whole scene with descriptions of each brother. Loved how Dean found out what all Sam said to him. Which they actually need to hear these things the other one thinks.

Aww such a soft story! Loved the dynamic between them. Would’ve loved to read this from Sam’s POV tho, with the actual hunt part that led them to the hospital. Either way, I could still sense the fear and worry on Sam’s part here even if it was only in bits and pieces, it truly is amazing.

Oh, this is beautiful. The show really could have used a scene like this during this point. As always you wrote it wonderfully and with the boys perfectly in character. I kind of like how we don't know what season it's set until the First Blade is mentioned.

First off happy belated bday! Love the description of Dean coming around, super disorienting, but anchoring himself to Sam all the same. They had to have had tens of these talks over the years that the other wasn't 'around' to hear, but having Cas here definitely changes things. When Cas said Sam hadn't forgiven him, I got super scared for a split second, then he just went into all the guilt and oh man my heart. These seasons were so rough for them, and that little scene at the end was just so wonderful. Brothers, basically, and you nail them :)
