I really love this concept of Hermione leading the forefront of social and political activism in the wizarding world. It fits in with her character so well, and I think you got Kingsley's character spot-on too. Harry seems a little tired, and my heart goes out to him as always. Somehow, I have a feeling that this won't go the way anyone is expecting though...

Dang it. I downloaded this and was on chapter 4 when I realized it was marked complete. I hope you finish it up one of these days, it seems like it would be interesting.

I do love this! You are clearly a talented writer and you've set the world up nicely, with strong reasoning for Harry to go through an unstable/negative period with the press/rest of the wizarding world. I like that it shows a realistic outcome as well. The only smaaaaall issue I have (and it's probably more a preference thing, so definitely don't take this as a personal thing) is the slowness and sort of lingering on unimportant events, I guess? Sort of how we might have a big chunk explaining Harry having a night with his friends, or the food, or Harry having a release of anger in the forest with a huge lead up for him to actually get to the forest lol, and stuff we may already know that isn't important like the stone/Harry's feelings about forests in general, and even the moment he heard a crack after Luna's house, and little things we linger on that don't push the story forwards. Harry could probably have had a simple release in the backyard. A lot happens with very little dialogue which makes me feel like we're spending the story in Harry's head rather than in Harry's world? Apologies, I'm probably not describing that feeling correctly! I think when you read back what you write and find you can skip a huge chunk/couple paragraphs of writing as you read, but not actually lose anything to the story, that's when the lingering gets a little much for me. Again, toooootally a preference thing! Loads of people will love the lingering/meandering vibe! It probably builds a nice sense of feeling for some people! I love your ‘Not a Good Man’ story so I started exploring your other fics too! This is a really interesting take, I’ve read so many fics where Harry has a ton of political power after the war as well as Ron and Hermione. It’s interesting to see the alternate side of how things could have gone. So in this story did Riddle not possess anyone with the diary? How does he end up coming alive? I love Kreacher so I’m glad there was a lot of Harry and Kreacher time :)

I’m excited to see where this goes. Great job getting the tone and Making Harry believable.
