Quick note: I highly recommend using CMSN instead of CMEN. CMEN sounds like something very different, and the S works because of Emerald's last name, Sustrai.

I’m confused. Starting A/N says this is a one-shot, ending A/N implies you already have plans.

That said, I do want to see more. That isn’t to say I think this is good (or bad), there’s just not enough. It’s too short.

Also, while I give Soulmate AUs a lot of slack, I’m wary about the automatic blending of worldviews and the ‘impossible to have negative feelings for’ caveat. It feels like an overly-convenient way to avoid any sort of discussion, completely negating the star-crossed lovers aspect. Is that what’s actually happening? I don’t know. As short as it is, though, it certainly sounds like a pre-emptive handwave.
